Thanks for the tour. As a Spokane resident with two kayaks and a SCAMP sailboat, it’s always fun to share the same locations with like minded people.

Thank you for watching! The scamp looks like a really fun boat. Perfect for exploring lakes in our area!

Great channel. Molly and Brian, my compliments. No commercials nor blabla to lure patreons. Exceptional in sailing vlogs. Actually, I always thought I needed a bigger boat. Like the sheriff in Jaws. Bloody nonsense. I had sailing yachts up to 40ft. Next one will be a Waarschip 570 (18ft). Built in Holland. And enjoy the natural beauty of my country. Thanks for your inspiration.

Wow ! thank you for your encouragement . I haven’t heard of a waarschip before but man what a cool boat. Downsizing has been great for us and I think a 18’ - 20’ boat is a perfect size! Our 16’ Newport is a blast but lack’s sitting headroom in the cabin for when the weather gets nasty.

@@ruddyducksailing Yes. Waarschip had great designs over the years. They focus on sailing abilities. Lightweight (wood) and deep finkeels. I owned their 1010, she had a draft of 2,2 meters, however, no room to stand up in the cabin.

Fantastic! I’ve been to most places around that lake but not much else out and away from the lake. Nice to see it from your flyover. Wow, gorgeous!!! So much to explore!! What a quality lake also, right up there with Lake Tahoe. No doubt, two of my most favorite lakes. Anyways, you guys keep outdoing yourself with these adventures, Love it!

Thanks again! I’ve been eyeballing Tahoe as a possible trip as I grew up outside of Reno for a short while and swam in the cold waters as a kid. Haven’t been on a boat there and it seems like a great place to cruise. Have you explored it by boat?
@Kmanc172 Жыл бұрын
@@ruddyducksailing not like I’d like too In something that is mine. I wanna explore Tahoe via kayak and or paddle board, or some day via my own small pocket sailer when I get one. I’ve played around the lake some staying I cabins along the water but I worked for a company in Cali that went to Tahoe allot for company events and we did get out on the Cesar’s Palace (at that time) classic yacht out to Emerald Bay type tours. Touristy tours.

great idea to see the lake from the sky ,now any future boat trips you,ll know all the cool little beaches to sail and camp up ,also do you still have the cal27 looking forwards to a vid update on any work progress

The seaplane tour was definitely amazing and we got a new perspective on the lake for sure. I haven’t even touched the cal for awhile! Between work, the Ruddy Duck trips, editing , and life I haven’t had any time. I need to winterize it soon because it’s getting cold around here. Probably just drain the engine and cover the boat in preparation for snow. Hopefully I’ll have time and money to start working on it again soon!

@@ruddyducksailing yeh thats a lot of work, something,s gotta give ,sailing or repairing can't do both,boats are complex things wether it 10 ft row boat or 40ft sailboat,work on them takes time and the list and expense is way too much underestimated
