When you refuel it takes the wood automatically from the chest so you don't have to go get it. Same as with all the crafting. That's why you couldn't find the wood you left in the chest.

To all those interested, the De De transport isn't triggered until you defeat the boss inside of Amber cave and turn it in. For most, it would be better not to do that until you have enough supplies for the De De transport, De De stops, and street lights as they all hit you consecutively. If you Amber cave boss is turned in on a Thursday, there will be a town meeting on Friday, and then on Saturday the DeDe transport cars are up on the board. Higgins doesn't work weekends, so they'll all be yours in addition to the achievement for doing all 5. If you finish them on Saturday and turn in the followup quest to make the stops will be up on the board on Sunday. The light will then come up on Monday, and Higgins will probably get at least one of those. if you are quick.

You did have wood in your materials chest but now when you craft things it also uses items you have in storage, as well as what's in your bag. So you don't need to have it in your bag anymore. :) You can add it as fuel or turn it into other items without having to go and manually grab it all! EDIT: You can have 3 quests pinned at a time, pick and choose between which ones you want to do first. I usually prioritise quests that have a time limit and don't pin main quests seeing as usually they can be done whenever you want. XD

I've just started this game a few days ago and when I found the disc I saw the alert for the mysterious disc but didn't read it. So me, having spoken to the research center already thought It was really important to take it to them. On the way there I was saying hello to everyone and accidentally spoke to Lee. Well he took the disc (as he was supposed too) but I thought I had messed up big time and chosen a side. And would not be friends with the researchers and I failed them by letting him steal my disc😭 didn't realize that was the goal until I restarted on my other switch. 😅 now I realize they're quite abundant. Also when I found out you can change how fast the day goes my mind was blown😱🤯. Why is this not a thing for other farming/life Sims?! People who like a challenge can leave it as is...and people who get anxious about the day being too fast can slow it down so they can actually enjoy it. It's the best way to offer options. I'm really looking forward to the sequel now.

Ginger is so much easier to befriend now. Any time you complete an important part of the game, IE When you defeat the bandirats, you get 20 points with Ginger once you speak with her

It was more of a concept of the gameplay loop to start with, but I really enjoyed it from the get go, and it just kept getting more content, the game is huge.

don't forget about converting hardwood and ironwood to normal wood on the worktable, you won't be needing those higher tier wood this early in the game. you will need loads of wood just for fuels instead however.

New relics don't spawn in. The first scanner is just super weak. I've glitches trough the mine fore and its a big void room full of floating objects. The floor is just the stones that hold you back from it. Its pretty trippy.

I'm really navigation challenged so is there a way to Mark the different locations for the people you need to meet for the meet-and-greet quest I'm having a lot of problems with it and I would hate to wait to play it again until my mom can come over and help me... I just got this game on the 31st but I'm really liking it though I just wish you could save anywhere like in Sand rock. From what I've seen from the demo.

Just remember, there is no pressure, just wander around the town and speak to everyone. If you can't find them wait for the day of the bright sun, most of them will be right there in the town centre for you!. Or you can snag a lot of them on Sunday at the Church.
