His Bankai doesn't break into thousands of pieces. His Shikai breaks his sword into millions of pieces. His Bankai summons one thousand blades and breaks them each into millions of pieces, giving Byakuya billions of blade fragments.

His shikai actually breaks his sword into “thousands” of pieces not millions, his sword is called “senbonsakura” which means “thousands of cherry trees” so I don’t know where you got “millions” from

but, that's just my opinion, and i recommend reading up on the shikai vs bankai, as that was his Shikai, the bankai actually makes the "blade petals" as their described condense their reitzu and form pink, glowing swords around the user and opponent, allowing Byakuya to fight his foe with one blade at a time, or thousands of them in a similar way to his skikai

once again, video was bait, and you didnt even touch on the bare bones accurately, as his Zanpakuto, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, actually has a deeper meaning to its name, and personality, which both pairs and conflicts with Byakuya's personality, but even les then usual with most soul reapers, which was mentioned in the writers note sections here and there in the manga while it was being made with shonin jump..
