I love Byakuya's character growth. In the beginning he was someone trapped by his past and gave up his own desires purely for the sake of his position. Here he lives in the present, prioritizing the well being of the man his sister looks out for and showed him the error of his ways, freeing him from his past. Tsukishima made a grave mistake in inserting himself into Byakuya's past as someone meaningful to him only from his past rather than his present. The person who trained with you can't measure up to the person who saved you, like Byakuya said, uncle Shu steals bonds and the new bonds he's made now(Rukia, Renji, Ichigo) coming to terms with his parents and wife are what matter most. Think of Ikkaku's fight like an RPG. The kid is level five and is constantly getting critical hits but Ikkaku is like a level 50 who can tank everything. I think he realized that the worst case scenario will always happen against him but he also notices that the physical punches themselves were weak.

Also Ikkaku is a soul reaper while the boy is human so Ikkaku naturally can withstand more damage even if he wasn't that strong

I think the difference between Byakuya v Zommari (Espada 7) and his fight here with Shu is that even tho he was severing his own limbs, he did it with the certainty that it would solve the problem. Byakuya essentially fights with a series of if-then/else statements. "If my opponent does this then I do that." "If he does that then I do this." to infinity. With Shu, literally his entire source code is useless. For the first time, Byakuya had to come up with something new that he's never considered or practiced before. That uncertainty is what put him on the edge of life and death.

At the moment he cut senbonsakura and said "I have seen it so many times I bores me" his physical abilities increased at a point where he indeed was fast and strong enough to counter senbonsakura, the same with Byakuya, when cut Byakuya Tsukishima's physical abilities got to the point he could match Byakuya's speed and strength... Tsukishima's power is indeed dangerous. We need to clarify this point cause people tell byakuya is weak for going bankai against a fullbringuer

That's why byakuya's hands were bleeding, because he grabbed a handful of petals. Also ikkaku made the kid overuse his jackpot ability. He used it over and over so the chances of a jackpot went down. He had never used it that many times in a row.

The anime changed how Tsukishima was defeated. In the manga, Byakuya grabbed a fistful of his blades and used them to punch through Tsukishima's body. They changed it in the anime to what you saw, but were too lazy to change the dialogue to match it.

The craziest thing about Tsukishima’s power is that it’s provides him with the necessary information from the past he creates the same way it does to the people he cuts. So if he cuts your zanpakuto and inserts himself to its past, as he did to Byakuya’s, he then gets an instant info dump on all its abilities. Book of the End is kinda broken if you think about it.

Also his physical abilities increased to the point he can match. For example when he said he was bored of senbonsakura, Tsukishima physical strength increased at the point he could overwhelm senbonsakura... book of the end OP as fuck xd

If you remember back to when we first met Ikkaku, when he bumped into Ichigo and Ganju in soul society, he spent two minutes doing his "I'm so lucky" dance that he found Ichigo first and got to fight the strongest of the ryoka. I believe that is the main callback from Ikkaku's "I'm the luckiest man in soul society!" comment.

Ikakku is simply the luckiest guy that ever lived lmao. Remember his battle with Kenpachi, the goat himself said he didn't go easy on Ikakku and he still survived. Also, I really like Ikakku talking about loyalty and dying for someone who would die for you because Kenpachi is definitely a guy who would die for his friends despite not looking like the sentimental type. TYBW is just further proof but I'm not going to spoil

I think he's actually talking about Yumichika when he does the whole "if you're gonna die for somebody, make sure they'd do the same". Though I do agree Kenny probably fits in that description as well.

Ishida is not sasuke, he would die for orihime, for chad or even ichigo. But he will never admit it. Ikkaku's "luck" is a reference to what Kenpachi taught him if we remember the flashback and his battle against the arrancar. "Don't accept defeat until you're dead" "if you live another day, you're lucky" it's not literal luck like the fullbringer's power but it's his philosophy of life, that's why ikkaku is the luckiest of gotei 13

I think the reason why all the Xcution members started talking way more, and the old barista especially started showing such a drastic change in character is because they're so high on their new power. It's gone to their head. It's made light of when Rukia talks about it, but even if they only received a fraction of the surface layer of Ichigo's powers that Ginjo stole, that's still A LOT more power than they had originally. Ichigo's power at this point really is like an ocean in terms of just how massive it is. So the Xcution members are getting the fraction of the surface level of an ocean scale power up. They were each like... an Olympic swimming pool before. Now they're each a small to medium sized lake. That's a BIG difference, so personally I can't blame some of them for kinda losing control of themselves to it. The reason they lose so easily is because... Well, most Soul Reapers we've met start out as lakes of varying sizes, and only really get bigger as the show progresses.

They lost because they still are fundamentally human with fragile human bodies and physicality. They wear their Fullbring powers to augment their human strength but it's just that, human strength. It's why Yhwach had to fundamentally beef up his Sternritter Quincy through his blood giving them power ups (Blut Vene / Arterie and Schrift superpowers) because otherwise Quincies as humans struggle to match up with the super strength of high level shinigami or spiritual beings of that level.

The backstories of the fullbringers was cut short in the anime. They were already short in the manga but they're even shorter in the anime which i guess makes sense people wouldn't care that much about them. But heres what they are from memory so i might get something wrong. Giriko the butler guy got his power but thought it was some bullshit and wasn't true so to test it out he put a contract on his wife the same way he put a contract on the boxes and pig to train ichigo. He breached the contract and his wife died. He tried to undo it because he didn't actually want to kill her but because he tried to break the rules the god of time took his eye too. For jackie her dad got her those boots as a present and she suspected they were stolen or gotten by some nefarious means but she didn't care and she polished them always and made sure they were clean. But her dad and family got in the bad books of the cartel or some shit they all got killed. I don't remember any of the others but i think we got tiny stories for all of them. they all fit in like a single chapter.

Actually it doesn’t if you read it he beat an arrancar in Kakakura, he beat Jackie, and he beat a sternritter. The manga doesn’t show all these random filler fights Renji gets into that for some reason the anime wants to show. Mind you that’s more W’s than a character like Rock Lee has ever gotten in his life. Even his fight with Byakuya was a very good character moment for him and is why he is one of the best characters in this show.
