Today we are going to have a look at the BYD app, specifically for the Atto 3.
It's a useful feature, very common in EVs, allowing the vehicles owners to do things like pre-cooling the car, or remote locking.

I was able to use the app to switch on my car's air con (in Adelaide) from the USA. 🙂

@@bydatto39461 why not try it out? But also realised I left it with a bit too much charge. Recommended to have SoC between 40-60% if storing for a long time.

Mybe turning the car on would initiate the 12v battery charge? I actually unlocked the car and turned it on for my wife to drive it home after I forgot to leave the key.

Maybe it's only with Android but there's a More Settings tab on the airconditioning page where the run time can be increased in 5 minute increments up to 30 mins, can also set air to recirc or fresh.

@@renbangbprd7236 I think it works just like how you can remotely start the car through the apps. But yes it is real.

I have my Atto 3 since July 5th and still they didn’t activate my SIM card so I can’t use the app and it asking my for QR code but no QR code on my screen to scan it and add the car to the app! I contact with my seller and it said that BYD factory have to activate my mail that is connected to the car but still nothing…! Any idea what else i can do?

just wonder you car still can access the internet without tethering ? i just activated the application with special BYD Sim Card. I cannot access the internet using the Head Unit without tethering to my mobile phone, means the Car SIMCard just for BYD Application

I'm sorry I don't know, I never use the tablet for anything more than navigation with WAZE, and occasionally the radio!

Can you also add the nfc card to apple wallet? I think that is something available in the EU

I have a Samsung Phone, and have no idea how Apple Software works. I never use the nfc card in any case, I prefer to use the key fob. If anyone reading this knows, please feel free to comment

I have an Atto 3. Currently the car has a Telstra SIM car. What are BYD owners doing when the plan expires? Can the plan be renewed?

As far as I am aware, for the life of the car here in Australia, but if anyone knows different, I'm happy to be corrected.

Actually, it's possible to set temperature, on time ans scheduling of AC (only to a maximum of 24 hours in advance) if one touches the "A/C" instead of the "On" button.
