Driving the first BYD Battery Electric Vehicle (EV), the e6 that made the glorious journey of BYD all over the world and here in Nepal.
This BYD e6 arrived here in the year 2017 and later launched in 2018 which has the battery capacity of 80 kWh (BYD Iron Phosphate Battery) that has 400 km of Range.
It has the Motor Capacity of 90 kW that produces 121 hp and massive 450 nm of torque.
It supports 40 kW AC Fast Charging which takes about 2 hrs and 11 hrs using home charger.
It can go upto 140 kmph.
I will be driving it for few more days and will test it in various terrains and driving conditions. Let's see how does it perform in terms of performance, range, comfort, charging and will check the battery health after 7 years of usage.

** Anyone who is doubtful about the battery health being 100% even after all these years. I showed what was there on that ODB Scanner VDS Device. I will be making a proper long distance range test and video of charging cycles and testing the Health again soon...**

Thanks for the clarification. It's understandable, but it would be good to know the reason. It could be that Cimex changed the battery and did not inform you, or they have altered the meter to mislead users into thinking it's always at 100%. Cimex has developed a really bad reputation lately. They were even scamming people by not providing travel chargers with the cars, even though they include them at customs. Check out this article. Such articles are not always accurate, but I think this one is. I have voiced this concern in the WhatsApp group that BYD creates for each dealership, but your voice might be heard more than others.

i rented this same car on my last year visit to Nepal. Went to Pokhara and quite impressed with battery health but this car doesn't take DC charger which is big loose. I waited 4 hrs to charge in pokhara where other cars simply get charged within tea break span. please give some light on that.

It's hard to believe the battery still has a 100% charge after seven years. Given how batteries actually work, that's simply not possible. This isn't even a blade battery but an outdated technology that degrades much faster. Even the latest batteries can't maintain full capacity for that long. It's obvious the battery was replaced at some point, but this crucial detail was conveniently left out, likely because this is a sponsored video by BYD Nepal. This omission is misleading and deceptive to your audience. You should have done your homework or at least gotten a second opinion before posting such inaccurate information.

Nepal lacks proper reviewers of many categories, so any thiing thrown out is taken as truth. We request you(CarHaru) and other 'influencers'/'"reviewers', ,to have a high degree standards for reviews, extensive research before reviewing, differentiating betn reviews and showcase(sponsored), you cant review a product when you are bound by talking points of a company sponsoring the product.

@@saggy65 It was hard for me to believe too that the battery health is 100% after all these years. It was checked multi times to make sure that it was shown correctly. I made sure of that. I will even try to make another video showing the charge cycles and all if possible. Long trip with Range test video is coming soon... You will know the facts how is the range still after all these years. And for the sponsored part, do check how KZbin shows it. I have also been honest about it.

I agree, it is physically impossible that an LFP battery has zero degradation after 7 years, (might be possible with LTO but not LFP). Although the cycle life for an LFP is significantly higher than an NMC chemistry, the calendar aging is comparable. The test should have showed the remaining available kWh in the battery pack rather than estimating using the SOC since the BMS estimation is likely not very accurate as LFP voltage curve is pretty much flat.

Aru ko Review video pani aaucha. I am not a full time content creator so it is so hard to manage time. I make the videos on my free time and on the weekends. And I have already mentioned on my video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y56np3dvm6pmnqM Please watch this section just to be clear on this. It is so hard to get new vehicles for review and it's like begging them to showcase their own product. And I always do the video of the cars which I feel would be good for the consumers!

While it's nice that the owner had excellent experiences with the BYD e6, it's crucial to keep in mind how LFP batteries typically degrade. Even with strong LFP chemistry, which degrades more slowly than other varieties, a 7-year-old battery with 70,000 km will most certainly show capacity reduction owing to calendar aging and usage. Most EV batteries decline 2-3% per year, thus a 100% health report is overly optimistic unless the battery was changed or the battery health checker is faulty. Maybe this is sponsored by BYD , viewers should definitely exercise caution and also get an independent battery health check for a more accurate assessment. I used to think he only stated facts, but after this video, I've completely lost trust and am unsubscribing. Please avoid advertising false content without proper knowledge of how batteries work. As an EV owner, you should know better about battery mechanisms.

@@destiny46 Yes I also know it degrades by year and with more charging cycles. That's why I made sure it was tested multiple times and the result was same. I will even try to make a video showing the charging cycle and even testing on other vehicles. I don't know if that VDS is working correctly or not but they were using it for diagnosis of every other BYD vehicles. To make sure how is the actual practical range of the vehicle, I have done long drive range test videos...

Why are you surprised of No Degradation.. Many Cars have Buffer at the top such as KONA . This huge Battery pack has buffer as well . This BYD with 70,000 Km is nothing , there are BYD e6 as Taxis in China and they are doing 700,000 (7 Lakh) kilometers . There is a video on KZbin as well .
