BYD Seal - As good as expected?

The BYD Seal is now available to buy in New Zealand. Available in 3 models (Dynamic, Premium and performance), Adrian Maidment is test driving the BYD Seal Premium.
Will the BYD Seal live up to its high expectations?
The BYD Seal Premium has a battery size of 83kWh with a driving range of 570km. Rear-wheel-drive motor, producing 230kW of power and 360Nm of torque, the BYD SEAL Premium delivers a 0 to 100km/h time of 5.9 seconds.

I like the Seal, has the right mix of features and massively improved interior when compared with the Atto 3 or Dolphin. There is a lot more design restraint (taste) when comparing interiors thank god. It’s definitely at the top of my list when I upgrade. Who knows in a few months there might be something better or Tesla could be feeling the pinch and start selling their cars for what they are actually worth to manufacture. It can only be good for pricing.

I wish Byd had a Han model via RHD 3.0 platform. Its a much better design against the new Seal.

Rubbish, the Han is an older and less sophisticated design structurally. Better for them to wait until a newer version of the Han is made with a structural battery pack, the existing one is very sloppy to drive in comparison

Why do people compare the Seal to the M3? They could not be further apart, I had the Seal for an hour test drive I didn't find anything about it luxury I though the cabin felt plastic and border line cheap. It reminds me of the Commodore and I think that's the customers it will attract EV bogans . .

Good one, feels significantly nicer than my mates Model Y, much better materials than the Tesla. Yep it’s gaudy but it’s much better screwed together and crucially has options for real leather unlike the vinyl in the Tesla.
