bye bye hair | hodgkin's lymphoma journey

and just like that, it’s gone 💔
having very mixed feelings about losing this hair of mine. won’t be the “girl with bangs” anymore. hair is such a strange thing. it was such a big part of my identity, epically in the last few years. but now that it’s gone, I realized that I’m still me, still the same old kam. no different, just missing a few hairs! finding the beauty in other things, especially things on the inside! day one without it and I honestly love it. I feel free and happy and relieved to not deal with it falling out anymore- which was a daily reminder of everything going on.
got to escape to the beach today with my father dearest. it’s my off week from chemo and I needed a change of scenery. have spent the last week either in my bed or in my infusion center. so I’m thankful for this little getaway!!!! needed some salty air and sand between my toes.
if you’re ever feeling the urge to shave your head, I say do it. yolo
