The interior paint works really well but over time has a tendency to flake and peel. Pick up some bulldog adhesive promoter and it will keep the black from peeling or flaking over time.

My only recommendation is when you paint with any Aerosol try to paint with the can vertical. So prop your panel up vertically and not horizontal to get best results. Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps

a tip with painting interiors i would recommend using black plastic primer for any of the hard plastic parts and the vinyl paints for anything that is spongy

For those of you wondering why he had to paint the interior is because, clean black interiors for the sc platform is absolutely impossible to find and when you do find one you're likely to spend nearly a thousand dollars for a complete interior. Though this hurt my eyes too, I understand his options. Having a completely tan sc300.

Another tip for painting with the duplicolor interior paint/dye is lightly mist it on. If you spray it on too heavy that’s when it starts to look splotchy

First up it’s not dye it’s spray paint and you didn’t give your door card a dedicated PLASTIC PRIMER regardless what the top coat claims of being primer & top coat in one. Anyway so you didn’t like the first attempt fair enough but no point having sprayed SEM or any other PLASTIC PRIMER on an already sprayed piece as primer and all paints are only as good as the prep for the first coat eg being the correct primer steps 🤦🏻‍♂️ obviously masking is never as quality as separating every single piece just common sense Try using 3M interior plastics/ vinyl spray paints I did my mates car and have used dupi color n SEM It is all in the prep n primer n correct spray technique

I did my 2005 tan mustang do not use landau black it will come off use black trim satin black the carpet and seats should be dyed with rit die in a spray bottle then spray the trim on top of that.

Bullshit. I have used duplicolor spray cans since they had their refresh look to the can. But in my case i’ve always used adhesion promoter, a good coat before i sprayed on the dye to any surface really plastics or vinyl. Can’t speak about the sem products because i’ve never used them but can vouch for the exact same can he “failed” with. Used it plenty times. Same results or better. Done entire interiors and even carpet. But carpet is a whole different ball game, procedure is way different.

What’s the point of properly removing the parts if you’re going to aerosol can it ? That’s like removing your exterior panels and rolling it with house paint . You need some type of dye or catalytic lacquer, it’s just gonna peel
