Umm...it's this kind of old (I'm old) thinking that has me spinning....I'm trying to get away from even the ridiculous word perfection...its completely subjective, unachievable and absolutely gets in the way of whats important....far more important than the myth of "perfect craftsmanship"...it's finishing. You have to finish. Use the wrong words for a person like myself and you end up with a lifetime of potential and a garage full of "perfect projects" that couldn't meet the criteria and were never finished. Just piled up regrets for even the inspiration to start them. I now make the commitment to finish what I start whatever the final outcome. Further, because I suck, I also have to commit to finishing them ON TIME. That daggone word causes lateness that causes a bad taste for the end user regardless of the finish..."I needed it then, not now"...because I was chasing a ghost for two extra months. Thank god for youtube and generous artists to help work out these kinks. Cheers

Absolutely the best PDR channel I've ever come across. The energy and enthusiasm of what you do is contagious and necessary. We should do what we do with all our heart. The instructions and explanations of the methods used to move the metal are second to none.....and tell us how the applied forces work to relieve tension in the metal. So excited to watch how you apply sound principles and practices to restore the metal to production line perfection.

Hey Mate, a great job. I started my panel beating apprenticeship in Auckland, New Zealand 1962, the same year bog came on the market. I learnt to hammer and file, hot and cold shrink, oxy acetylene weld, use wheeling and suage machines, as well as folders and lead fill. I have never seen or even dreamt about trying to repair damage like that, especially without needing a paint touch up. For you guys who are outside the trade this is a whole new level of skills and requires great confidence to think that it can be repaired that way.

I have no words when you posted your videos not only for the finished work but for how clean you manipulate the metal without pimple. I am tired to see thousands of PDR videos in KZbin along the years but you and another few ones are the GOATS. Awsome job my friend like always.

Uhhh, WOW! That was amazing. Reading the physics of a dent like that and then knowing how to tackle it is incredible. Then the finished product is just mind blowing. Great work is an understatement. I'm beyond words.

Yeah, I went through years of school and OJT and got a degree in paint/fender/body, and when I would ask about PDR, a lot of the guys would scoff and say it was fine for small dents, or maybe after hail storms. They'd all want to remove/replace fenders, cut/weld/fill/sand/paint QP/SP and door skins. I'd ask them why they don't try to manipulate the dent and make at least reuse the original fenders etc. Most would say it was easier and faster to do it their way. I'd still hold on to the old parts and practice manipulating the metal, but if I had been able to see this channel when I was still working there and going to school, I think I would have been able to convince the instructor as well as the owner of the body shop I was working at to train me on it. I'm not knocking the other way at all and understand that in certain instances it is definitely needed. However, an alternative is always nice to have.

@@jmackinjersey1 I remember reading about this technique of repairing small dents years ago. This method of dent repair has improved and progressed beyond repairing just door dings.
