Bye Diablo IV

The game is done, kaput, over dead. Blizzard and Diablo 4 is over and it seems there is no way of stopping the ship going down - we are too late.

Sorry for all of the Diablo 4 Fans out there, but I can't play this game at this moment, at this state, as it looks very harmful and toxic for me personally.

Have said this elsewhere: Havent touched D4 for days now, prepping for new POE season. I won't be back. Lots of reasons. The boredom of 'nothing to do' when you open that map. Lack of minimap. "Rerolling stats" is sickeningly expensive - a total joke. No social play, unlike in POE - hit 'S' and join a team. Trading - another useless joke. Stupid dungeon map mechanics that kill you if you need to be close to targets. ^x4 if in a group. Decent items - eg uniques - wait till levels 70, necessary for build - random wait hell. Crap legendary aspect rolls forced on you, random 'hope' based system. The stupid hunt your stash for X on item. Its jawdroppingly bad.

I've never really had a game that I theoretically want to play cos 'it's Diablo!' but everytime I sit down in front of the PC to start it up it feels like going to work, until after running just 2 dungeons I ask why am I still working after a long day at work? So I just click exit Diablo 4 and go to bed. This game just feels like a job at this point.

I was super hyped for D4, but it was a huge letdown. I will still jump into it for a week or two every new season, but enjoyability is nowhere near as D2 or L2.

as a POE player im happy for all the new players but also kinda sad because I was looking forward to trying D4 and hopefully after some updates it will get better but you look at POE or Grim Dawn and look at all the customization options and it makes you wonder how the D4 deves dont see that. after what 7 years

2 last paragon points until seasonal lvl 100... doing the last two levels already the 2nd week, because whenever I log in and do 1 NM dungeon, I just log out right after... 60 days until season end.. I will probably manage to hit that 100 just to stop playing the game... I wanted it so bad to be good, sadly I didnt realize that the developers DO NOT play their own game and never thought players would like to have something to chase for in the Endgame... I love how the Shop is full of gorgeous transmog sets, but for what? to look at them in the character selection screen....

it still has the potential to be. D2 was barebones and boring at launch. it wasn't anything worth playing until the expansion released with the runeword mechanic. D3 was catastrophic at launch and didn't become much fun until they realized double bounty rewards was a shitty season theme. both evolved over time to be something infinitely better than they released as. the devs are at least paying attention to the backlash. now it's only a matter of competence which hopefully they do what the need to do to address.

even as a POE player I wanted it to be good. competition is good for games, makes them better. Titan Quest 2 is coming out so hopefully that will be as good as the first one

The problem is that Blizzard practicaly released a Beta, forced us to be Beta tester and charged us $70-100 for it.....very smart business idea. ^^ Only with the difference that most of feedback & suggestion of us "Beta Tester" misses theyr ears. ;)

The diablo fans were the target audience to buy the game, but not the target players: assuming the team was compitent enough for that. Which, after hearing how inventory works, and seeing those 2 "developers" play the game, I doubt compitence even exists as a whole.

To be honest I'm sick of these bandwagon hate the game without any proper arguments, it's like people do these videos just to make money from this trend. There's much to do after you finish campaign like, helltides, tree of whispers, world bosses, nightmare dungeons, PVP fields of hatred, malignant hearts and most pro, NM Tier 100, Uber Lilith with blasting broken builds, hatred's chosen PVP at level 100 with respec on capped numbers, sure the game isn't perfect, specially between 70-100 as it can get repetitive. But it's not fair to compare it with PoE as it has dozens of season under it's belt to add many features, for sure Diablo 4 will get a lot of new features by new seasons coming along, maybe new uber bosses (Duriel, Andariel) or PVP leagues placement 4vs4, it's ok to quit the game temporarily and come back maybe later on, but people talking like it's the end of the world and the end of the game is completely nonsense, it feels like you haven't played much of the game and you expect to be taken serious.

True, i hate this D4 hate bandwagon too. Never seen a game that gets so much hate, even the ones that were truly bad. I think these youtubers are doing this videos only cos they know it will bring them views, which is sad. Personally i am still having fun, yes, game has issues, but its not that bad at all. I open D4 reddit, hate post milking likes after hate post, i open youtube, hate video after hate video from small no name youtubers... You dont like D4? Just stfu and get out then....
