I always put a silencer on when I get in a group with a priest or evoker. How often do people really need to be gripped. Players just use the ability like toy because they think it's neat or to troll people.

This vid hit home. Just last week me(mm hunter) and my friend(ret pally) were running some alts through lower keys 3-5. We picked up a DH tank and his buddy for Algeth'ar Academy. First thing I notice is people are dying on the trash clear to Overgrown Ancient pulling aggro. Tank says "sorry my PC froze up". Hmm, ok. Immediately after the fight tank bolts off to the Guardian Sentry mini boss. We had a few deaths so we have some people that released and they're running back. I survived the fight so I go off with him. The tank grabs the mini boss without hesitation and pulls him closer to the landing zone on the small cross island so the mini bosses AOE covers the landing zone. Again we almost have a wipe as more people are coming over from the main land they're hitting the AOE as they land. Hmmmm... Next we head over to start clearing trash for Crawth. Tank aggros adds then just stands there and several people pull aggro off him and die. My friend pipes up in chat "WTF Tank?". Tank launches into this insane tirade of insults. We just boot the tank. Inspected tank on raider IO turns out he had like 3500 rating. I figured he was just trolling us.

If you have a tank and healer or a healer and DPS who are close friends playing together who want to troll each other in a way that won’t massively affect the outcome of anything in content that is effectively “farm” for everybody or homework I really think it’s okay. My tank and DPS friends and I used to do this all of the time when messing around. As long as it has no measurable effect on the outcome, then it’s just playing around. I had a tank/DPS friend who when we were running lower content I’d do silly stuff like grip him aroind or when on my paladin I’d BoP him when he ran back in and blasted his cool-downs. We were on discord and laughing about it between each other. To other people is just bullying. You need the pre-existing understanding and relationship and appropriate situation for this to even be remotely acceptable in any way.

How can someone who is so "experienced" in the game and runs such high keys be such an antisocial person? People like that are the reason why it's so incredibly difficult for new M+ players to gain a foothold. Really unbelievable! I've seen many high M+ players give tips and try to help "worse" players instead of trolling them and that's exactly how it should be. The two in the video should really be ashamed of themselves!

Im not sure it's the same thing, but back in the early days there were always people from the top guilds on our servers fucking with our smaller and new guild. Some would even come and join our guild just to try to get parses or troll us in other ways. I used to call it "big fish little pond" syndrome. Seems the same thing happening here. These guys think they are above the players doing these keys, clearly. Meanwhile all they prove here is how shit they are at life. I guess being good at wow is enough for some though.

This is just sadly common with the "homework vault keys." I've rarely seen this in higher brackets (where you are forced to play with many of the same ppl, holding players more accountable.)

As an EU player, when I pugged I avoided 3 servers like the plague, Twisting Nether, Silvermoon, Sanguino, and the proof is in the pudding as they say. I have never had a good experience with a player from those 3 servers, whether keys were timed or not. Absolute despicable behaviour.

Kazzak/TarrenMill too, a old PvP streamer realm. They're forced to play M+ since PvP is kinda ass in DF, they doing content they arent hyped about doing and complain from start to finish at anything minor I ran to a caster mob that was standing elsewhere to kick it so it'll be easier to aoe everything down, Kazzak DH tank went: get aggro on 1 more mob without me and I will leave. It was the first pull of the dungeon, it was his own +2 key so I instantly typed alright, re-list your key. Im a super patient player if it comes down to mistakes, wipes, out of time etc. But I am done with player behavior like that, it only the 3rd key I left in all of DF.

I've been yelling this for months. Do not get keys downgraded upon not finishing or not timing it. Let people decide their own level of keystone! If you let them do that people can just leave mid-key if they see idiots like the tank and healer. Why bother spend time with them if you can find nicer people? The pressure of rating would drop enormous because there's no fear of downgrading your key anymore. People with normal rating would get invited again. People will be able to learn again in keys instead of having to do it perfect 1st time. The timer can still be there but it's not as pressuring as before. REMOVE DOWNGRADE ON KEYS. GIVE PEOPLE THE POWER TO DOWNGRADE IT WHEN THEY WANT WITH THE PANDALADY.

Ya the priest in this key is the leader on his mage hah. Super similar to a key we reviewed in season three where players who thought they were better than kop got him killed them blamed him and quit. Always seems to be comprised of players who think they are better than they are.

This reminds me of a time at the end of SL where i was prepping my hpal for the new expansion and I joined a 20 iron docks and as soon as I get into the group, 3 of the 4 other people (im assuming they were all friends) are like "damn looks like we are going to have to carry this hpal" and keep in mind, Im pretty sure I was only like 50 score under these guys on my alt. But the whole time we are heading to the dungeon, they are saying things like "I expect to be payed for this carry" and similar things. When we get into the dungeon, they keep spamming trade with me saying to pay them since "they will be 4 manning the dungeon essentially". So i decided to wait for the key to start and right as it did i said something like "have fun with your 4 man since you can easily do it" and then left the key and ran out of the dungeon and blocked and reported all of them. I dont get why people randomly decide to harass people for no reason.

O M G! This happened to me and my friend two days ago. I just lvl'd my pally wanted to run some keys since it was the 4 m+ weekly. I started the group waiting on a tank DH tank Qd with a hunter. The hunter was massively under geared but the tank has a 3600 io. I was like oh he's helping his buddy oh fine so I invited them. The tank is being a little suspicious from the start. It was a 4 AA and he wasn't holding threat when he pulled the whole first room but I didn't think anything about it. Killed first boss tank runs way ahead uses air bridge pulls the air elemental to the landing spot so everyone that lands gets stunned or instantly killed. I bubble out and live. We use the air bridge and go to the birds tank just stands there doesn't even auto attack birds eat my face, it's just me and him there. I release and say wtf tank? He replies back by saying "stfu you bold fat f*ck". I'm in discord with my friends and he's like kick him we'll break it to a 3 it doesn't matter because this tank is being an ass. So I kick him and his hunter buddy keep the other rando and fill it with a significantly lower heated tank and dps and 3key it. Mean while the tank is whispering me just blowing up on me and linking his top 1% achievements and just really acting like a fool. I reply by asking him if he's okay? He keeps on. I'm like I'm sorry who are you? Just antagonizing a little at this point. He final stops whispering when I won't fight back and I reported for griefing not that anything will happen. In your video you say do not invite duos. My friend and I group together all the time and are solid behaved players but it usually takes a bit to get into a group. Now I know why!!! Not all duo teams are like this. There are genuinely good players that just pug together and don't troll. But these jerks like this are ruining for sure.

The saddest part is the SPriest who not only did not see any of the trolling that the other priest was doing to the shaman (which is honestly quite hard to miss, given that life grips are super noticable), or the super unnecessary language used by the dk calling sham handicapped, but he HIMSELF got gripped into his death early on and still didn't even think for a second that the other priest and the dk are in the wrong but instantly turned on the shaman. I mean, sure, it's a tough situation because he wanted his key to be finished and siding with the shaman to call those 2 out would probably have made them go on an ego trip and leave, but it's still really hard to watch him enabling this kind of shit instead of calling it out. Same goes for the evoker, who doesn't even have the benefit of this being his own key.

I was really angry when I first saw this at Dili's channel, this wasn't trolling it was pure emotional blackmail. Way overscored guys are often bad news, but I've had good experiences with them also. Like, not that long ago, I was pugging with my friend on our shitty alts, and one of the top-5 bear tanks on our realm applied. Not just that, but his gear was basically perfect also, there was zero chance he was getting anything useful out of the low key we were doing. I told him not to invite the guy because it looked really suspicious, but he did anyway, and the guy played perfectly, accustomed his pulls to us (instead of going full-tryhard, like some "top" tanks do in lower keys, only to then blame the group after everyone except him dies), he put up with all the dumb shit we did in the dungeon, made helpful comments, etc. Dunno why he decided to spend his time carrying some scrub strangers in a low key for no benefit to himself, for sure he could join pugs for higher keys that would complete the higher key faster than our group, but he did. I guess not everyone is an asshole.

I am new to retail wow this season. I main outlaw rogue and getting into keys higher than an 11 is difficult even tho I have completed 16+ in all dungeons. So often times I do weekly 8s or 10s just for mythic vault slots. When you say never invite someone who doesn’t need the key is them just doing weekly vault runs not something you consider?

That's the pug life, you are either stuck searching for a group or gambling when inviting people into your m+ runs. I once committed the mistake of inviting a 4 man group to my 20+ key back in shadowlands, they had higher Io than me. Once the key started they all left immediately. Blizzard needs to implement bans for these kind of players, they just ruin the experience for everyone.

Really funny since I had an occurrence on BH today as well with a DH tank that was just charging ahead and when it came to the packs that you skip just before the bridge to the third boss he jumped ahead fighting the bear on the bridge, leaving the rest of the group behind. Long story short our warrior pulls a pack by accident which would’ve been no issue at all if the tank would’ve actually stayed with the team but he ended up pulling the boss as well and we wipe. As soon as I mentioned that he also just could’ve stayed with the group instead of gaining nothing in fighting the next mob he exploded and it was all “I’m the carry” “you’re not doing enough dmg” “you’re hard stuck” and “delete the game”. At first I wanted to say it’s just so typical for DH to have that kind of selfish and arrogant behaviour but then I main a DH since the first day of legion ever since and I understand that every m+ key is a team effort since you can’t complete them by yourself. if that tank actually would’ve done his job as a tank and stayed with the group and not tried to run this dungeons by himself, we would’ve easily upgraded that guys key. But he tried to convince everyone else on the team that he was not at fault and that he’s not toxic when all the censored words in chat told a different story. Guys char is Haavoc-TarrenMill . I’d recommend avoiding him if possible. Toxic as hell and scum of the earth.

Yeah a general rule of thumb the more people in the same guild in your pug , the greater chance of toxic things going down. Not always the case but it's a risk. And your talking about deeper issues , well im not sure but i heard about players actually taking Mythic+ groups hostage and demanding gold ( can you even trade gold in mythic+ groups ) or they will brick the key on purpose. They do this near the end for maxium extortion.

Not defending the behavior but there is a way to shut people's ability to grip you off. Neural Silencers or some such device but guy prob didn't have any to use. Neural Silencer Item Level 1 Use: Makes you immune to some annoyances. Persists through death. Lasts 12 hrs.

The way I see it the entire key was a blast and any decent player that is actually playing a GAME and not doing a CHORE would like to also have some fun. Almost every single time I've invited a pre-made group of 3-4 people, I have regretted it. Sometimes you can get lucky and they boost you for crests or whatever, but that is rare unless it is +2 or +6. I have defaulted now to take 2 people max, never more, and even then I am a bit hesitant and it depends on their score etc. I'll take stuff like a good healer with their lesser dps friend if I feel confident that we can carry him. Had one run on my alt the other day where I invited a tank with his dps buddy to my +5 Nelth, as they looked decent with their IO and ilvl in the range for the key. Then 2 seconds after I got spammed with invite suggestion request from someone which I guess were their 3rd friend. I asked who it was, no response. A few declines later I asked again if it was their friend, no response. I then stated that I had a 2 people pre-made max policy and they were free to leave if they wanted to. They did not leave and said nothing. At that point I got worried about them greefing the key due to not inviting their friend, so just told them that I was worried about it, that did not trust them and left. Not sure if it was the right choice, the group I ended up with after that didn't do that well, but at least timed the key (barely), and nobody were toxic or greefing, so feel it was worth it. Although I'll never know. Point being, if it's your key, you can still leave and start over if you get a bad feeling for whatever reason, nothing wrong with that.

As long as the tank can live his melee attack's and frontal, that's the only dmg that goes out. Its a common strat for players who know about it and know they can live the attacks.

I think the most obvious indicator of just how pathetic this Priest player is, is the fact that he probably actually lied about who pulled that mob to his own friend because he was just too much of a loser to admit that it was him. Just think about that for a second, how much of a loser you have to be that you cannot even own up to such a simple mistake to your own team mate and have to pin it on someone else instead. Doesn't concentrate on his own gameplay and with that he makes a lot of mistakes on his own. (Just an exampIe, i know from a close friend who played several keys with him... that he thought the hole season 3, that he can stack his normalbarrier and massbarrier) but back to my experience... then they other guy had enough of his fingerpointing and called his mistakes out. He completly freaked out...called a lot of insults and banned the guy instantly from his discord. Btw. they guy had in s1 or s2 a name change because of his bad reputation with his old "wowname"... but i dont remember that name anymore

I am VERY against boosting, for a lot of reasons, but I would say the tldr is, I consider it cheating. If you want to just cheat through all the content the game offers, what is the actual point of that? You are wasting your own time and money on this game. Go play one that you like better.

I get the gear and items i need to make my quality of life better. I am a farmer so I don't pay actual money, I earn it! If you are against this, that is fine you are entitled to feel as you do, I won't hold that against you, but to tell me i should quit for enjoy the game my way is a little much! Yeah I’ve ran into people like this before. They’re good enough to be slightly better than the average player but are to garbage to do extremely high keys so they have this ego of “I’d be higher raider io if people didn’t hold me back” so they go into people keys trying ruin their day for no reason. It’s funny cause the people that are extremely good are super nice, casuals are nice but those mid tier players are toxic, not all them but good percentage are.

Ya that's always the thing I keep going back to. The true top players are humble because they know they can always be better and reputation gets them in doors they need to continue excelling. Players who have these attitudes are usually just getting carried enough to feel like they are valuable. There was even a comment here saying some one knows the guy in his mage and he does exactly that!

When I was #30 in shadowlands as top dh tank in world, I pugged and it seemed like every 5 keys you do you’ll only time one and that’s the way of the game. A lot people go into running keys after watching streamers and think they’ll be doing same content as these high end content players but they don’t understand they got Dave, and Dave works at gas station for 12 hours a day and has 2 kids and only gets to push twice week for 2 hours. Kinda have be humble when you try push and pug and know that you’re going fail a lot more than you succeed. It’s the pug life, met a lot cool people over years pugging.

But what if you made a series that revolves around tanks and healers (not sure how dps would do) that feel like they’re being held back by groups. At the end of the week you could take someone that’s runs 8s you say and put him/her into a 18 or a high end key before reset and make a weekly series called “do they deserve it”. And let’s find out if people really are good enough or if their ego is just inflated. It be alot easier if you could do it around your community so you can record your POV and their POV, and you could commentary through both sides on what they could do better, what they did wrong etc. If you do decide ever do something similar let me know and I’ll be your first contestant haha.

I've seen worse unfortunately, he shouldn't have stayed and endured that tbh. If those people were being that toxic the best thing you can do is bounce and remake. They get screwed out of their key and don't get to have the satisfaction of being toxic as hell.

Sucks because i am always tanking with a Hunter friend and we never ever try to intentionally ruin anyone's key. I can understand if a duo is a higher bringing a carry along. We brought a carry along with us the other day (465il) that was beating one of the pug dps we invited that was over 515, by a mile talking about 45K dps overall by the end of the run.....a Havok DH too. Like how?

Ya it's just a gamble you don't need to take. There are plenty of players signing up. Always better to invite people who don't know each other in my eyes
