I have several Bye-Lo babies. Some larger, some smaller. I was going to take several to a doll show in March-but now I will think it over. I have a wonderful large girl that sits in an antique high chair in my dining room. Love her! The seller apologized that her hands were replaced (lovely porcelain hands). I told her, I liked them better than broken celluloid ones. She is wearing my mom's tatted baby bonnet from 1915. Wonderful display you have! That smiling Bye-lo in her fantastic gown and pillow display -what a treasure!

In the 1970s, we used to travel from Wilkes-Barre, PA, to Cape Cod. At the border of NY and PA, there was a wonderful restaurant. It was loaded with bisque/porcelain dolls, some of them Bye-Los. None were for sale. However, now I'm glad I didn't get one. I fell in love with Tonner dolls. I have an 18" Kitty Collier, 2 Tyler Wentworths, a Jonquil, an 8 inch Betsey McCall repro (?), and a 22 " American Model. I found out about Grace too late to get one. In any event, the 22" American model is my favorite. I rejoiced when he fully articulated the ladies, and Jonquil with crimped hair is the most poseable of them. I'm sorry he has retired, but I'm retired, too, (from teaching) and I understand.

I collected Tonner for a while too. Mostly Tyler Wentworth. Don't they still sell Grace? Over at Rachel Hoffmans doll store and YT channel she has a monthly outfit subscription type thing you can get for her. It doesn't seem like that would be a great idea if you couldn't still get a doll. She did have one video when she compared the different bodies and which ones could share clothes The monthly boxes aren't made by Tonner though I don't think

Just a quick correction, that young girl from “Our Gang” holding the Bye-Lo Baby is not Darla Hood, it is Mary Kornman. She was a member of Our Gang in the silent era from 1922 until 1926. Darla Hood did not appear in Our Gang comedies until 1935.

I was so lucky to buy a large brown eyed baby from America 😘😘 17 inch circumference head 🎉 but the body was a handmade, which is fine but the wrong style 🤔 I have a small doll with the original body but what size should the body be for my large head ?.🤔🤔 Can you advise .........❤ I am in England and have little to no chance of finding any information here 😢 The sculpting of this doll is just so appealing ❤ a piece of art ❤️ I watch your content and always learn, aspire and love it ! are there black baby by-los? I have a tiny by-lo baby that has a cloth frog body but I’m not sure how to know if it real since she’s so little and she has painted eyes. ♥️I love by-lo baby’s and never had one so I couldn’t pass her up at the antique store
