Option d is correct. Because it doesn't describe the flip flop characteristics. If ff is equivalent to one short ckt. We can say input is directly connected to the output. If we applied something to input it directly passes to the output irrespective of clock input and present output state this is not the desired condition of ff. (desired is the output of ff is complement of each other). Sir if any mistake in my explanation please rectify it.

Option:D Flip flop or latch has to stable states and can be used to store state information (I.e,bistable multvinrator flipflops are the fundamental building blocks of the digital electronics.

Sir, option d is the correct answer because: FF stores single bit info. FF has two stable states The one option that differs is short circuit because FF is a storing device whereas function of short ckt is completely different of FF.
