I love your "real" approach to your vlog. It's refreshing to watch your honest account of what you're seeing, feeling and experiencing. Watching other vloggers strut about the islands pretending they're fashionistas, telling us about their outfits and what beauty products they're using before heading to the beach is an unnecessary bore, so don't change a thing.

Another awesome video!!! 1) The bruscheta thingy is called Dakos it is a typical dish of Creta, which you can find in the Cyclades as well 2) When you were filming there were no data for 2021, they were published on 19/07 so Milos had a population of 4977 on 2011 and now it is 5193. I guess the data will be available in English soon, but till then feel free to ask me if you are curious about any other places. 3) You get used to that view, I am from Creta and I live in Poland. For example I started appreciating having a nice ouzo with maybe some octopus by the seaside, when I moved abroad. This why many Greeks love to travel abroad during the winter to big European cities and admire the medieval towns, Christmas markets etc etc. For you and me having a hot wine in Rynek in Warsaw is something normal, but my friends from Greece really go crazy about it when they visit. So I guess we all seek what we lack!

Wow it looks so blissful there! Personally I think it’s great that you share your thoughts on the video. For me it’s really nice to see someone else vocalise the same feelings and reactions that I have myself when I go to Greece. I sometimes have tears in my eyes being surrounded by all that beauty. When I try to explain to friends & family I can tell they don’t really get it. I guess in a lot of ways it’s an appreciation of things that’s encompassing a spiritual element and it’s not easy to translate into words. Greece, it’s nature & people create a special vibration! It’s just heavenly! Thanks for this fantastic video❤️☀️❤️

Good remark and advice for sun lotion. In these beaches you receive double UV rays (due to reflection phenomenon to the bed rock) and you should apply twice more often in order to avoid a very nasty burn like a roasted lobster. Milos is indeed the best alternative to Mykonos and when we visited with my family we went to a beach Emporeio facing across to Adamas the capital of the island and it was ALL OURS. I mean a beach half a mile long all by ourselves.

@@KajaKubicka there is also a beach in the south of the island where a taverna cooks literally many of its meals into a specific point in the sand. It’s said that there is some kind of underground well that instead of water guides lots of steam there that is coming from very deep inside probably by a volcanic formation !!!!

Milos is a couple island. You should hop a boat and see kimolos and polyaigos 2 smaller but near to milos Islands. The reason that Milos has this unique scenery is the fact that its actually made by 2 volcanoes (dont worry they arent active atm). Milos is on the Aegean volcanic arc and other islands that actually have active volcanoes and belong to the same line are Santorini and Nisiros

"what is it like to live on an island" -the pros: Summertime sea,sun etc etc ... as you nicely showing in your videos - the cons: WINTER TIME.- wind in these islands is CRAZY,, im sure you have seen all the faces of locals being wind/suntorn and having deep wrinkles from the difficulties of island life, you might get stuck inside your house for days cause of the weather, sometimes the wind is so strong and the sea so rough that supply ships cant dock and people stay without basic need products for days,, also there is big lack of health services, so they might have to get to other islands that have hospitals or in Athens to do some health checkups (on emergencies and with rough sea you pray for the military helicopter to come ), also no jobs in wintertime on these places.
@KajaKubicka2 жыл бұрын
yes I can totally imagine that the wind must be an issue during winter! because it's already quite strong in summer!

Beautiful video of my native island of Milos! I feel obligated to point out that Island hopping is an obsolete, antiquated practice that robs people of their precious vacation time and their chance to truly experience an island destination. Case in point: You missed the BEST beach in Milos, Paliochori. No, Sarakiniko is not the best beach. It’s not even considered a beach by most locals, as it features a very small beach. Sarakiniko is considered a sight-seeing destination primarily because of its outworldly rocky landscape. You also missed the ULTIMATE destination in Milos: Kleftiko, as well as the adjacent Sykia, the cave with the collapsed dome, and the numerous secluded beaches along the west coast of the island. You should have taken a daily sailboat excursion. Since you engaged in the unfortunate practice of island hopping, you naturally missed a lot, including trips to nearby Kimolos and Polyaigos, the abandoned sulphur and manganese mines, the Catacombs of Milos, and most of the 70+ beaches of the island.
@KajaKubicka11 ай бұрын
Hi, I do understand what you mean, Milos is a beautiful island with so many incredible places to see! However, what you have to keep in mind that what you watched here is not me on a 'vacation', when I'm really on a vacation, I wouldn't be working/ filming it ;)
