On "The Wall" Gilmour used Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face (BC109) with a modified tone circuit and an Electro Harmonix Big Muff (1973 Rams Head). Specifically for "Comfortably Numb" he used the Big Muff. He only started using the Butler Tube Driver recently.

Hey Burgerman was wondering what size knobs you need to get for the large beaver, I just ordered one from axeandyoushallreceive and I want to get the MXR style, nice video!

Nice. I just got the new MacBook Pro so, I'll look forward to similar projects when I have a video camera too. I've played with final cut, and it's not bad once you get used to it. Just another learning curve when coming from different software.

@Burgerman666 What kind/brand of clear coat did you use? I'm actually trying to figure out how I'm going to put the labels and everything that I designed on, and if that works then that solves my problem! What kind of paper, by the way?
@topher809613 жыл бұрын
@Burgerman666 So you just printed a picture with average stock printing paper, printed using a laser printer and glued on with elmers white glue (the kind we all ate as kids)? I am building my own BYOC, and can't wait to design it. Would you mind elaborating on the painting process, and what type paint you used please? Thanks in advance! Oh, and wicked cool pedal, video and demo. Thanks.

@Burgerman666 Thanks Burgerman! Did you also spray a primer coat and then color X over the primer before that? I am scared I will ruin a really cool $90 toy :) Thanks for the input again. I hope you use it live!

@Burgerman666 Looking at doing this as my next build. I am trying to figure out which specs to build it to. I love the tone you got on this. Did you use the triangle specs?

@zthetha I think that the OD/distortions/fuzz builds are pretty simple

This box sounds great! I was going to start with the 250+ kit (never done one before - absolutely beginner) but this is EXACTLY what I want. Q: howmuch more difficult a build is the LB?

In your experience what clone is better for Gilmour tone, Triangle or Rams Head?

Is this the triangle or rams head version?
@westpsmity14 жыл бұрын
@Yourmomathon dude, if you google the name "byoc large beaver" it's literally the first thing that comes up.

To be fair, Gilmour went from a fuzz face to a rams head to a civil war muff back to a rams head to a g2 and now uses the g2, rams head and a triangle. He swaps pedals so much you can't be for sure what he's using outside of his Demeter compulator and his Cornish pedals.

Which version is this? (Triangle or Ram's Head or possibly even NYC or Russian?). It sounds awesome!

It's been a LONG time, but I believe it was a triangle.

triangle or rams head specs?

It's weird, normally, when I hear people using Fuzz pedals I want to choke them. You actually make it sound pleasing. I would almost considering trying one of these.

Nice, Brett, as allways. Good pedal, works very fine with single notes, not so good with chords.
