I'm so glad you made a video about this. Can't wait to watch part 2 of 2. If possible, please make trim videos for stairs and how floor trim connects to stair trim :). Keep up the fantastic work!

Thanks for posting this, there’s not a lot on KZbin that explains this process in detail like you did. I’ve been planning a similar project and the timing of this is great!

Great job. Reminded me of when I did mine. Came out similar, but I just used untreated 4x4's & rebar. Burned them afterwards.

I can't wait to replace my 1980's clunky stair railing! The posts at the top and bottom are ok, but the actual hand railing is a 2"x8" and I have plans for that.

Good job again Brent. I would not take on this project and I’m a GC. Looks very complicated but you seemed to handle it just fine. Is this the challenging project that you told me about last time? And I saw your angry face again! 😅. I do that same face all the time when I’m working- so I’ve been told. Thanks!

Thanks so much for the continued support and kind words Roger. This was a tough one and did take longer then expected but wasn't the one that caused the original delay I told you about earlier. That one invloves a Metal Fire Pit and welding. first time welder so definiely caused some issues along the way. Will be posting in the next month hopefully. And YES that is what my wife calls my "Concentration Face" lol!!!

Need to replace mine as well and the old rails bolted to the sides. My new stair nose is on the sides so I wasn’t sure how to bolt to the floor for stability and not having to cut the nosing on the sides. Thanks so much for posting this!

Doesn’t sound like the project is within you capabilities
@paulystark28909 ай бұрын
@@creylacoste4981 it’s an exposed floating “U” shaped staircase that requires nosing on 2 sides cut to 70 degree miters, with diagonal cut risers 52” long. So great observation on my skills there Mr wizard! Also it’s “your capabilities, not “you capabilities” However, your “capabilities” of projecting your personal insecurities seem to be spot on! But, I doubt you’ll comprehend what that even means, and just keep living your life on autopilot with a low IQ. Must suck to be you. Have a nice day!

Only asking because you used certain language. is any of this engineered or did you make it out of field dimensions entirely and past experience? did you get drawings for this? I know you dont need it to do it but maybe for compliance and liability
@Justins_shed9 ай бұрын
Fine work, nice results and a well-made informative video - thank you. I have a language tip that I hope you’ll find helpful. There is no such word as ‘heighth’. The word is height, pronounced hite. Width and length end with ‘th’, but height doesn’t.
@BYOTools9 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for watching and all the support Justin. You are not the first person to mention the height comment and I know you are correct. Full disclosure is that I'm Dyslexic and from the very beginning I've always read height as "Heighth". I've tried changing it in the past but it always comes back. Old habits die hard i guess haha. In any case thank you for bringing it up in a kind and respectful way.
@Justins_shed9 ай бұрын
@@BYOTools Wow - I never would have guessed that you have faced and conquered dyslexia, but it makes sense. I watch all your videos and I am sometimes struck by a few little quirks in amongst the high-quality narration. That word occurred a lot in this video so I thought I’d just mention it this one time. Thanks for taking the feedback well. It’s not important overall, so please carry on communicating in your own effective and enjoyable style.

Dude I like your content a lot, it's hugely informative and you execute your DIY well and in easy to follow steps. But I have to offer one piece of feedback because it's like nails on a chalkboard in every one of your videos. The word is "height". It ends with a hard T. Not "heighth" like "width". Sorry for the pedantry!
