I was getting similar numbers to you. What I discovered was the my barrel wasn't going far back enough. I put an o-ring on behind the barrel spacer and now I get 430 on the first shot.

It's already been said, but me personally with the way air gun companies work. It's usually about their bottom line they don't really care about us. It seems like Burna is stepping up to the plate, and that is something that I. Respect and appreciate.

HPA always outperforms CO2 when it comes to consistency over a number of shots. You really called them out on a key point and now they are on their heels. I like Byrna and their products but when I think Byrna I don't think power and that's ok. They should just be more careful in their marketing. Honesty is the best policy. The "Real" less lethal market is more geared for low to intermediate power and high power is frowned upon by donors, investors, and advertisers.
@airgunnerreviews788810 ай бұрын
You’re right I don’t think power with Byrna either, and they are definitely playing it safe with investors! They are supposed to send a video of the new LE being tested as proof of fps on a 12 gram C02 and that should be interesting! I could probably get those high chrony numbers to if I waited 10 minutes between shots 😂

Your content and testing is extremely great. Thank you for keeping us up to date. And I’m happy they are at least working with you. And concerned with their customers. It’s also great that you are very diplomatic with them. And on top of them. Thanks again

Great update. Definitely interested in Byrna firing your LE in a video on 12 gram CO2. Or using a new LE that they then send you to confirm. Interesting.

I thought so to, I will be sharing that video!

In the video I can see it is a X-Radar which I plan on purchasing to keep testing fair!

Byrna has great customer service and Byrna being willing to send you a replacement is rock-solid service in my book. With their service department listening to your concerns and being willing to correct the problem instead of getting upset over the criticism like some other companies do, Hopefully, they can take your old one apart and find out if this is a broad-reaching issue impacting all of the LE markers and find a fix.
@airgunnerreviews788810 ай бұрын
I agree their customer service is rock solid! I’m confident they will figure this out this is not the type of publicity they want, lol!

Scott, found your channel back a couple of years ago, that’s-why ended up getting a SD, it’s good to keep Byrna on their toes. I was thinking of getting a LE but with issues that I’m seeing on KZbin, I’ll wait. My opinion is Byrna is just expanding to fast and just wants to coner the law enforcement market and forget us the ordinary citizens as an afterthought.
@airgunnerreviews788810 ай бұрын
Hopefully they will get a better handle on the LE! I will definitely be holding on to my SD it is a solid performer and reliable. More to come in this saga! Thanks for watching!!!

New to to your channel but I enjoy your videos. If they're sending you a new LE which one are they going to video - the new one or your old one with the problem? Sounds like you probably won't get your old one back. Which is good for you but you may never know what the problem was in your old one. It just throws another variable into the mix. Good luck.
@airgunnerreviews788810 ай бұрын
They are videoing the new LE prior to shipping which I will share along with my own test, I am working on getting the same chronograph they use so it is an even comparison. Thanks for subscribing!

No way they tested your launcher on co2. Those numbers from them are indicative of me testing hpa on my launcher. I appreciate they are working with you. That says something.
@airgunnerreviews788810 ай бұрын
It does seam far fetched doesn’t it! He promises to video the chrony numbers and email me the video on the new launcher so seeing will be believing but I’m more than a little skeptical!

If you want the best punch for your buck I highly recommend Sig Sauer co2s. I've been using these with the Byrna LE and 10 gram steel core pvc balls to punch through 1/2 plywood.

I just purchased, can’t wait to get the LE back to try, thanks!

Hi I’m new to all of this ….just got me a Byrna LE….so you are using something else besides the recommended CO2 and balls Byrna provides? If so does it void warranty? Thank you

I bought the original HD in 2020. It had multiple issues, so in 2022 I bought the SD and then the XL. In short I've kept on "upgrading" only to realize it's a moneypit of mediocre performance.

I really do have to get serious about getting a pistol permit! I live in upstate NY and you have to jump through hoops to get one and it can take a year or longer in some cases because the Sheriff’s office is backed up with ridiculous paperwork. You now need to have a permit to purchase a semiautomatic rifle including a 22LR!!! Fortunately I purchased prior to the law. You now have to pass a background test just to purchase ammo, I can pass a background check no problem but go out of state to purchase to keep the government out of my business!

Absolutely. The niche for less lethal defense seems to be getting smaller as it gets more dangerous in our USA big cities.

I'm no expert... But this is sounding like a calibration issue...Testing equipment calibration issue... The manufacturer of your chronograph reccomend NOT to use under fluorescent lighting, even though you are using the indoor light kit, I wonder how much those big fluorescent bulbs are impacting your result...

Tomorrow I should be receiving my hand held x-radar to use in conjunction with my chronograph and will be doing a video comparing the two at the same time so that should be an interesting test! I have used my chronograph on several markers including the Byrna SD and TCR and the readings are very consistent to the manufacturers FPS specs, the LE is the only marker with crazy FPS readings! On the bright side Byrna is shipping me a new one! Excellent customer service!!!
