It will get over 100 degrees here in my area…will that be a problem with these guns?

No just don’t keep in hot car keep shade on it

You'll actually get better numbers in a hot environment due to the CO2 expanding more. I live in AZ where it gets 110-115+ degrees in the summer and I've fired so many rounds and the vapor plume you get is fun to see on the first few shots. I do recommend using a shammy to dry the inside of the barrel when firing it when it's hot outside. You should also use some extra oil every so often on the launcher to keep the o-rings lubricated as they dry out faster in hot environments.

Being that I've experienced what these launchers can do when hit in the ribs, I can attest that they do work quite well as a defense launcher. Where they really shine is when you use a mixed magazine of various types of rounds. If you're not convinced it could work for self defense, have a friend or family member test it on your ribs from 7-10 feet and get back to us with your thoughts afterwards.

@@dougbrodsky3745 LOL... No one ever wants to try it 🥺 I will admit that I do wish the Byrna was a little stronger joule-wise, but overall it's a good reliable launcher. Honestly though, at this point I'd recommend to anyone just starting out to get the Salt Supply S2 as it's $100 cheaper and is double the Joules of the Byrna SD. Byrna is possibly going to be showing us the Byrna CP at ShotShow 2025 if the rumors we heard from them last Summer are true. Of course we were supposed to be seeing the Grimburg Solstice as well, it's been pushed back to 2026 at the earliest now. Lancer Tactical is said they'd be releasing the Higos launcher Q1 of 2025 and it's supposed to be a 35-40 Joule launcher for only $200.

It's odd that the Hi Viz I've had has always been 300+ since I got it 2 years ago. They released the LE a few months after they did the limited run of the Hi Viz for Police and Military so I've always been convinced the Hi Viz was the test model for the LE but not quite as powerful as the LE.
