Every championship team has a "super athlete" (except maybe the 80's Celtics).... Byron Scott was all that for the Lakers!! That man had hops, hit his jumpers from everywhere, could guard any PG or SG and ran the break to the point where it wasn't a fair fight anymore. Nuff respect to that man!
@BasketballJones480216 күн бұрын
Good point 🤔 Can’t recall any championship team without AT LEAST one player who was that type of athlete, in their main rotation, except for the 1980’s Celtics… Parish was a good athlete but not what you’d call a “super athlete”; DJ had been a super athlete(and won a championship along the way), but not at that point….
@kb55095 күн бұрын
Danny Ainge could've gone pro in about 3 different sports, he must've been a decent athlete.
@DGF25 күн бұрын
@kb5509 He was our (Blue Jays) starting 3rd baseman before he went back to BYU to play SG for the Cougars. He was a versatile athlete, but he wasn't what I mean. He wasn't one of the fastest or quickest of on the court or one of the highest leaper. He was a damn good baller though.

B Scott’s underrated as a player, even back then! He was athletic as hell, great shooter, lots of skill… he actually led the Lakers in scoring for the 1988 season!! Those Showtime Lakers were crazy stacked…

The ratings are down but not the interest. If the Lakers and the Knicks are in the Finals this year the ratings will be strong. The biggest problem is Denver, Golden State and Milwaukee have won 3 of the last 4 championships. People don't watch the small market teams. And the best players in the league are all foreigners. SGA, Doncic, Jokic, Wembanyama, Giannis. Lebron is 40. Steph is 36. Durant is 36.

Players quitting and leaving teams jumping teams and also organizations have gotten bad too where they don’t help players put together better teams etc. I notice there have been more up and coming teams a lot of teams are team building but nba gotten soft. Rule changes and more perimeter game lack of fundamentals but more versatility. AAU screwing up American basketball guys overseas are working on fundamentals and taking over the game
