Tony Parker was such a unique player. He got to the paint whenever he wanted and scored over anyone. Had two signature moves: teardrop and spin move. Smaller players should always learn from his game.

Thanks guys. TP was a small PG who scored 18-19ppg always around 50%, sometimes higher. Low turnovers too. One of the most efficient PGs of all time.

Before the full on 3 point revolution, too, so most of the centers were still playing inside, most of the perimeter players were still mostly driving to the rim, and this man scored the most at the basket. Prime Tony Parker can go 1 on 1 with any point guard. Any ! He was that good. Even without the Spurs when he played for France he would get buckets and clutch buckets against anybody. Elite at driving into the paint and scoring. What a player.

My son played with Kawai Leonard in a city League in Moreno Valley California. I believe it was like 11-13 year olds. It was obvious back then how good he was and that he was going to make it to the NBA. REALLY, he was that good back then.

2:22 what Parker said here was during his sophomore season in 2003. However, Steph definitely give a lot of ass busting on Parker his rookie season too. Here’s some stats for y’all: December 14, 2001 (technically the first ass busting) - Steph had 22 pts on 7/19 shooting, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds - Parker has 6 pts on 3/7 shooting, 2 assists, 5 fouls February 24, 2002 (worse ass busting Marbury did to Parker that season): - Steph had 36 pts on 14/24 shooting, 7 assists, 4 rebounds - Parker had 5 pts on 2/7 shooting, 3 assists and 3 rebounds 2003 first round playoffs (Game 1): - Steph had 26 pts on 9/28 shooting, 6 Rebs, 5 fouls and the game winner - Parker had a forgettable 7 pts on 2/13 shooting, 7 assists Game 2: - Steph had 32 pts on 13/27 shooting, 10 rebs, 5 assists and 4 fouls - Parker had 2 pts on 1/7 shooting, 2 assists and 4 fouls

Oh that’s the special sauce wit the Spurs was their LONGEVITY of greatness. Only the 60’s Celtics are comparable. And hey that’s when there were only like 16 teams in the whole damn prob less. Making what the Spurs of the “modern era” did that much more incredible. I’ve never been a Spurs fan. But when they SPANKED THE DOG SH-T outta Miami and Lebron that year I knew they were SOMETHING SPECIAL. A TRUE TEAM.
