Yes, you are right. It is all to easy to fall into these traps that demagogues set for us. I too have wondered what I would do if America faced such a challenge. Now I know. Give money. Work on campaigns. We need to turn back this threat to our nation that wraps itself in the American flag, but would undo the Constitution. To me, it not so very hard to understand how Hitler seemed like a savior when the Depression hit Germany hard, along with the WWI reparations were squeezing Germans with hyper-inflation. In 1927 a bread roll costed half a Reichmark; a year later in 1928, the same bread roll cost only 2 million Reichmark. The economic challenges we face today are piddling, comparatively to the crisis Germany faced. I'm not making excuses for Germany. What I'm saying is that we Americans need to see reality. Never would I have thought that a large segment of our fellow citizens (trump supporters) would be such whiners. Put on a pair and fix your life. Don't blame some group whom you think you are superior to. We used to be a can do nation. A nation that helped the less fortunate. A nation that valued hard work and not status symbols.
