They've been doing that for years. The only difference is now they're coming out of the closet and admitting to it, in a roundabout way... But the whole legal system and all of their legal societies have been operating in complete corruption with one another, and the worst part is that most Americans don't know that. You have to actually be put into the system to find these facts out. I was pushed into the system, and what I saw blew me away, because it was exactly the opposite of all of the propaganda in the movies in television shows... And they were all in cahoots with each other... They were all one big club of corruption... They all take psychiatric test, a psychological profile, to get these jobs, and the system is only taken on people that share their same capacity for corruption. Those are just facts, whether people wish to deal with them or not. They're not beliefs they're not opinions, they're facts. It's been over for a long time. 95% of everything you think you know, is literally propaganda that you have been fed via your 'tell-lie Vision'. And I take no pleasure in knowing these facts, actually I look at leaving the country permanently because the writing's on the wall say is going to get real real bad

Edited for clarification: It appears that I should have elaborated on what I mean by "sh!t bird" (aside from the TPB reference): There are obviously glaring differences between "wings", except when it comes to the fate of humanity on a global, longer-term scale. Neither side has been willing or able to take the lead and make a genuine attempt to alter the trajectory of the sh!t-storm barreling full-speed ahead toward the collapse of civilization and all the f**kery that precedes it. I have no doubt which party would act more quickly and effectively (the one that isn't as anti-science) if/when forced to confront the threats to the fundamental goal of perpetuating the human species' existence, but it will be too little, too late; it's probably too late already. This trajectory, and the failure of both parties to publicly express concern or urgency, comprise the sh!t bird I speak of - the long-term consequences that neither side will touch with a 10-foot pole, most likely out of the fear that they'd get crucified for doing or saying anything that might negatively affect The Economy, which might piss off supporters and donors who rely upon Growth like oxygen. I know everyone doesn't agree that the situation merits an immediate concerted effort that would most likely include implementing some drastic measures; I feel that immediate and drastic actions are merited and necessary (though I don't know why I even care; I chose not to breed so I don't have that reason, and I've gotten to the acceptance stage which is much better for one's mental health; I guess that although I've basically given up after 30+ years, I still want there to be a future that's worth existing in). The indifference and refusal of both parties to address or acknowledge that infinite growth in a finite system is impossible are the primary source of my disdain. Ignoring the fact that the collapse of most earlier civilizations was due at least in part to exceeding a sustainable carrying capacity within their surroundings is also a source of frustration. The current imperative is to overfeed the consumption machine, and to disregard the non-sustainability of perpetual increases in population and per capita consumption that are a cornerstone of most economic systems that equate growth to progress. I am aware that population growth is predicted to fall below replacement level, but not before we reach an estimated 10 billion, expected to occur during the 2080's, a 25% increase over the current population of 8.1 billion within 60-ish years. I remain skeptical that a 25% increase in water usage, food production, power use, trash, housing, transportation, etc. can be supported. I have doubts that 8.1 billion humans can be supported for much longer. Let's Explore Bird Anatomy! Birds have external bilateral symmetry except for wing and tail feathers, and do not have internal symmetry, so birds are not homogeneous on the inside and the wings themselves typically have asymmetrical flight feathers. These biological characteristics serve as a metaphor for the inherent differences between parties, and the bird itself represents the combined collective indifference described in the preceding paragraphs. Final thought: It's interesting that although I was not clear in the original post below (which does merit criticism esp. when taken at face value & without context), a couple reactions were closer to what I'd expect from the right wing, and maybe the repliers do in fact identify with that wing, but for demonstration purposes, we'll assume they lean to the left. It just seems antithetical to the perception that the left wing is less dictatorship-friendly, and supporters are more likely to be tolerant and just not as big of assholes overall. I'm not butthurt ("So why are you replying, huh? You must care a lot, don't lie and say that you don't, or else!" lol), but good grief, they ain't the best choices for brand ambassadors. The winner is a tie between (1) condescending and vaguely threatening, a la "Do what I say or you'll be sorry. Also I stalked your channel so I could add a more personal touch", and (2) the timeless classic - "just shut up". More entries may be submitted, so it's still anyone's game. I'm so curious if/how those replies would differ if it wasn't obvious that I'm probably not a dude. It seems unlikely that a dude would be instructed to "Stop trying to be an edgelord, [username]...think of the bigger picture if you want to keep enjoying your [hobby or interest indicated on username's channel]!". Do guys speak to other guys with whom they disagree in a manner similar to how a parent would speak to a defiant child? *not trying to kink-shame anyone who's into 'daddy disciplines a naughty child' type of role-play (between consenting adults, of course). Again, sounds more like what one would expect from the sh!t bird's right flappy-flap appendage. OP (in response to the parent comment, "I'm finding it harder and harder these days to tell myself everything is going to be okay."): "It's not going to be OK regardless of which ideology "wins". Two wings of the same shit-bird." Well, that's the last time I attempt to make a short comment. Rather, I will accept and embrace my propensity for super long sh!t-comments such as the edited version of this one.

Dems could win in a blowout but would rather gamble with us and our children's lives in order to keep their lobbyists happy. You can whine all about Republicans but they don't decide how dems run their campaigns and party. Everyone in dem leadership will be fine if biden loses. Their kids will still have healthcare and great educational opportunities. The legality of abortion never stopped a wealthy person from getting one before. We are the ones that pay. Republicans aren't bowing out. They aren't going away. So this idea that we can't hold dems accountable because Republicans exist is ridiculous. Not only that, but studies show that vote shaming is incredibly ineffective. Republicans aren't standing in our way. It's democrats and their bootlickers. Dems would trade happily trade 10 progressive votes for just one of those sweet, sweet moderate votes because they won't rock the donor boat. We suffer the consequences.

The "radical left" "inventing" trans people "just a few years ago" is an insult to the legacy of Magnus Hirschfeld - whose Berlin Institute for Sexology was sacked and its publications publically burned by the Nazis in 1933, partially because of the pioneer research the Institute had done in the fields of trans identities and trans rights. Trump is saying never in history has there been a push to allow children to not only want to be transgender, but get surgery/hormone blockers as well. I grew up in the 90's and as a teen there were a few gay kids, but no one was "transgender" that term wasn't introduced UNTIL A FEW YEARS AGO. So while, yes transgender people existed, the term was never used and kids weren't pushed to become transgender. Social media has made this a trend to be transgender, and some parents are pushing it for the publicity. Deny it all you want, but before TikTok 1 in a 10 million were transgender, now it's 1 in a million.

Hopefully by November even Paul will come around. Of course, simply not voting for Trump without voting for Biden is not the more effective course of action. Side note to Oliver and Co, pretty sure when Kissinger and Nixon met over Detente with the CCP leadership in the 1970s, they gushed over a perceived outcome of the Cultural Revolution that they really admired--the gutting of Chinese Civil Service (the nation from which Civil Service was first originated and practiced). Rumor has it they told their counterparts they aspired to follow suit. Had Nixon survived Watergate, there very well may have been a Project 1977 back in the day. Look it up?

They want easy solutions and if someone is promising them that just by virtue of their skin colour or faith or whatever other arbitrary reason they will be the absolute winners and more important than anyone else, they'll blindly follow that person/party. And if that person/party tells them that others are vermin and don't deserve to live, they will cheer them on. I always believed that knowing what happened under Hitler, what is happening everywhere around the world in dictatorships would make sure something like that would never happen again.
