Another report even said that some of the bystanders actually took our their phones to record this despicable, felonious act. This reminds me of a time when I was 19 and going home from work. I had just gotten off the train and was walking home. This man who was on the train with me got off and began following me. My gut told me that this man was following me so I began to pick up the pace and eventually sprinted back to the train station because not only was it dark but I figured that if this man tried to do something to me, there would be at least someone in the train station to help me. Boy was I wrong. There was only one man waiting for the train and I tried to stay close to him as possible. As soon as the man chasing me began to get closer to me, I yelled at him to stop following me. The man chasing me was in shock because I yelled and responded “I’m not following you”. The bystander saw and heard this and slowly began to walk away from both me and him. Almost in the verge of tears, I saw the bystander avoid me and it hurt me because I knew that if this man following me did something to me, I was on my own. Thank God there was a bystander in a bike who had seen the man chasing me earlier and came to the train station and asked me if I was okay and even stayed for a couple of minutes until the man chasing me got in the next train and left.
