When I watched the start of the game they did a cool pre-game feture of the buffs, showed the Buffalo running out, showed the team running out and had a short segment on Prime and Travis and Shadeur and ai though "well that's cool. I'm looking forward to seeing the spot on BYU". We'll, what I got was a 10 second screen showing BYUs record and a couple brief notes on their season. They didn't even show them run out onto the field. It was not treated like a bowl game, it was treated like an exhibition for the NFL scouts for the sake of Colorados players.

@@arttrumbo9496I really question how great Dion’s QB son is. The Travis kid is good, but the magnitude of the QB’s skills are suspect. The announcers said that some people think BYU’s QB will be a top 5 QB next year and I don’t see that happening. That kid makes some poor decisions and throws too many balls to the wrong team. Dion’s other son, the DB, started raising his arms and doing a goofy chicken dance, when he thought he made an interception. How ridiculous! As long as ESPN holds the postseason rights for the playoffs they will continue to tamper with the system to get as many SEC teams in the playoffs. So I say get rid of preseason rankings all together, start ranking after week 9 or 10, no ranking of players because that's a tool to help determine SOS. Then determine rankings by who teams played and how well their opponents performed for the season. This will never happen because it's about what will bring in the most money.

If Aaron Roderick had a co-offensive coordinator to help him in the red zone and in certain situations throughout the season especially in the Kansas and Arizona State game BYU would be 13-0. He literally created the circumstances for Kansas to have a chance to beat BYU if one fluke turnover happened and it did. He did nothing in the first half of the Arizona State game. He was just too scripted in the red zone all season and it hurt them at the end of the season. It's a phenomenal season but the team was capable of more. I'm a BYU fan and I think the loss to Kansas and to some extent the loss to Arizona State was the result of the game between BYU and Utah. That is an intense rivalry and was physically and emotionally draining. To give both Utah and BYU a favor, schedule that game as the last game of the season. I think it help both schools and would be the heavily watch. In my opinion, I don't think the NCAA or EXSPN do any favors for the BIG XII, especially the religious schools in this conference, BYU probably being the most noticeable. Last year when the Duke women's volleyball team played at BYU, on of the players said she heard racial slurs from the fans and even identified the voice that said it. That young man was found and then barred from future athletic events and a thorough investigation followed. After talking the both teams and reviewing every video and audio data, ask anyone who heard anything to come forward. They also sent people into the crown during the game looking and listening to see if they could identify who was doing it. They came up with nothing, the young man was apologized to and reinstated. They player must have miss heard, maybe the chant "Cougars Cougars" as something else. The following week, BYU played Oregon and young men in the student section were chanting derogatory statement about members of the Church, and last week, the men's basketball team hear similar chants. Thank you for letting me share my feelings, love the BIGXII and the teams that are in it.

Parker Kingston of BYU played QB at Roy High School, and was not a true QB. He was a receiver for Jaxon Dart. Dart played for Roy High School for Freshman through Junior year. When Dart transferred to Corner Canyon Kingston took over as QB, but was a running QB, athlete. One last thing, Jim McMahon played his high school football at Roy High. Just interesting sub plot.

What can BYU do? They're undefeated right now in the 2025 season. Find an offense that can put the game away and keep winning.

Go to 16 teams and get rid of the byes. Conference champions automatic home game in forst round. Winning your Conference Championship needs to mean something, otherwise teams like Alabama, Texas, USC, etc will just eventually gi Independent like ND.

I thought so too that BYU deserved a spot in the playoffs. Sometimes teams need to lose to bet better. Look at Ohio State. They've come alive.

Where BYU started the season would make no difference (back to back losses will drop a team massively), you say BYU should get in over SMU because head to head, which is fine. Remember Ohio State beat PSU on the road, finished with the same number of losses, had better wins, and were ranked below them. The committee made sure to not drop anyone for championship game losses, that is why SMU got in.

You're destroying your credibility by being a byu homer. Byu shalacking a team that Nebraska also shalacked is not proof of cfp competency. Smu had only 1 regular season loss to Byu's 2 losses. Smu also proved they weren't cfp competent. You're making homer arguments. BTW, did you actually say that ISU could beat Clemson by 2 tds based on ISU beating 3rd place Acc Miami without Cam Ward in 2nd half? Dude- credibility gone.

Colorado QB was exposed. Can’t throw when he is under pressure. And, when under pressure, he runs the wrong direction. His draft stock crashed Saturday night. I really like #coachprime. I think he is a good man. I will still cheer Colorado…when they aren’t playing BYU.

I was at the Kansas game and it was so freaking cold 18° by the end of that game. Im surprised anyone could even play in those temps. I'm not surprised how BYU lost that night with all the crazy random stuff and dropped balls by recievers with frozen hands catching rocks. Had that game been played at any other time then 8pm on a November night BYU wins. Why we are playing 8pm in November is beyond my comprehension. I understand that espn makes picks the time zone but why can we just say no.

LMAO, you do realize that ESPN broadcasts big 12 and ACC games too right??? So, according to your logic the Big 12 must also be in the tank for the SEC cause their doing business with a broadcaster that you say shows blatant bias.

When the last down is played in the remaining of this college football season, there has to be serious discussion on fixing the totally upside down world of college football of 2024. College football is, at best, on life support whether or not any one wants to face that sobering fact.

To me the whole point of this silly Tournament talk is to remove these discussions. Two loss teams used to never have a shot at a National Title. Could BYU have performed better than SMU and likely, but sadly for them they couldn’t beat Kansas or ASU-had they done that, they would have controlled their fortunes better, but yes the system is highly flawed and I agree with the take that had inferior teams not been elevated early in the season and BYU had to claw its way up things would have been different.

Clemson just came in and stole a birth into the playoff. Had SMU won. Alabama gets in. Plain and simple. They merely included SMU in so teams don’t want to avoid the conference championship game in the future. BYU messed up losing to Kansas or ASU. A one loss Cougar team would’ve got in. Still as a BYU fan. Great season, totally unexpected. Something great to build on.
