Basketball in the days of Ainge, Runia, Taylor, Durrant and Roberts, Craig and Christensen, and an ovation that delayed broadcast of the game; NCAA regionals, President Kimball, Gerald Ford, BYU Spectacular, Midnight Madness, concerts, Conference priesthood overflow....great memories and primo designed, managed and utilized facility. Well done, Marriott Center.

Still the best place to watch a basketball game - and I have been to 50+ arenas. I worked at the Marriott Center while in school, graduated twice (BS and MS), and still enjoy going to a game or event. I even tried out for the JV team - didn't make it, but the tryouts were held there. It is a great venue. The roof was designed by the University of Utah Engineering Department and is one of the best roofs to hang things from - speakers, lights, etc.

We couldn't get tickets for opening night, but were there for every game after that for the 71-72 season. Loved watching Stan Watts coach and Kresimir Cosic play and sneak a dunk or two during warmups (dunks were prohibited in those days and would warrant a technical foul if you were caught). Good times.
