Should be a very good & competitive NCAA W800m in '25 between Juliette Whittaker, Michaela Rose, Roisin Willis, Sanu Jallow, Gladys Chepngetich & Sophia Gorriaran.

@@gns3185 She handled that workout on Track All Access the best imo, looks very likely in '25 to make big improvements to her already impressive 600/800m PBs. I think she can run sub 1.26/2m in the indoor 600/800m & sub 1.25/1.59 in the outdoor 600/800m.

A lot of comments on the Hunter's head movement. She's wasting energy doing this. She's fast, but could be faster.

This is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting season i meant 2 say. Keep pushing your limits, athletes-your hard work inspires us all. Sorry if I don't understand - but why would we want the first 400 to be ~57? Seems absurdly fast
@sethread262 күн бұрын
Fastest way to run an 800 is with a 2 second positive split, for example if you start with a 59, then a 61. This is because of how the anarobic muscles work before switing to aerobic late race. Their first 400 was a 59 (60 for the eventual winner), so right on fastest pace since they finished in 2:01 for the winner (60,61 splits) and the girl who went through too fast died(59,63+). Any first lap faster than 2sec faster than second split is technically slower, but it is nice to claim the inside lane as it is hard to pass on an indoor track so sometimes you will see this
@sethread262 күн бұрын
Winner went 60, 62 so a perfect race and second went 59high, 63 so too much of a positive split

That head tilting back-and-forth by the BYU gal is awfully strange. Has she done this through her career? Is the BYU coach promoting this as some sort of improved racing technique?
@steventownley33423 күн бұрын
Surely can't be an improved technique I guess she's just pushing to her max.paula Radcliffe had a crazy head nodding thing and she was decades ahead of the marathon scene.2h14 over 20 years ago.2h20 is still outstanding for women

Very impressive race no doubt! Meghan representing one of my favorite teams... under the tender loving care & guidance of the beautiful Diljeet, er? uh? i mean> but you know? i been watching my Sophia since the beginning, & that took grit to beat my Harvard-Princess i meant to say. That little opener had me on the edge of my office chair.... ha ha. The people in the agency don't get my obsession, they even made me take classes for gambling and all that other goofy B.S.

2:55 “it is going to come down to the two flat girls” What does he mean with flat, it is not their build is it?
@anastasiad23022 күн бұрын
no, he’s referring to the times/paces they were aiming for. those girls were on pace to finish the race in 2 minutes or so (which they did), hence “the two-flat girls” just unfortunate phrasing hahaha

One day when i get super successful from either a one hit wonder or a blockbuster movie i am going to create a extra warehouse devoted in making cross-country trading cards... ha ha... ech one of these Valkyries & Sheild-Maidens are someones motivation i mean.... girls wear their hair like Elle Henes or dress up like Parker Valby at the lower divisions.... very adorable & inspiring, but? should the cards come wrapped up with bubble-gum like they used to do with the topps baseball cards? or do we put in some taffy or something different... ha ha... maybe they should come with a protein bar.... Long live this sport, i have learned to watch without betting, but i will say that that good-old Katelyn & Parker won me some nce little scores i meant to say... oh and i made a killing off Whitni Orton when she broke the tape at the NCAA Nationals. God-Bless her, now she's a Olympian (Thanks 2 Diljeets magical discipline)
