So many gloss over Origen, for obvious reasons. However, that his work stands as a tower whose shadow looms over the greats of the fourth century

Orthodox Christianity needs to get more of their writings in audiobook form. There is heaps of Buddhism and New Age audio

Great video. I am actually planning on reading Origen soon. I have read many of the works of modern theologians, but lately I've been getting into the Fathers theology.

Better to read something else. For example John Chrysostom.

The thought of Alexandria & Byzantium is the pure Gospel transmitted by geniuses such as Origen - who first used the terms Theotokos and Super-Trinity - St Athanasius, St Cyril of Alexandria, Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite, Leontius of Byzantium et al, who knew the Lord God Almighty by accessing Him literally by deification. Christ's remark [John X:34-35] I say ye are gods [from the Psalm of Asaph 81 or 82] is the Truth which returns immortality to those to whom God so wills. I have just returned from several weeks in Alexandria & boarded in a monastery built allegedly on the spot where Hypatia's head is buried. My book COGITATIO - privately printed - was sent by request to Patriarch Ibrahim Isaac Sidrak & a copy was given to Bishop George Vladimirou, an illuminated gentleman. This treatise comprises sections on deification, Origenism, several kinds of Monophysitism, Post-Chalcedonian Theology ETC and it was written circa 50 years ago when I was an undergraduate at St Chad's in the University of Durham. Meet Christ for real and out you go.
