For a LOL, listen to this at 0.75 speed and turn on Closed Captioning! I'm certainly not one to mock AI, but KZbin's Algorithm is trying REALLY HARD to figure out what DANCER is trying to say! EDIT: KZbin had turned auto-CC off, but I turned it back on.

You should go and see the Chemical brothers. One of the best audio visual shows around. They have their own live visuals guy and quite a part of their show is made up of epic osciloscope lazer stuff. When I saw them do their song horse power live which is a mental song as it is they did the horse running towards the crowd with the lazers it was nuts. But the one i'm seeing on youtube is just the 3d low poly horse back drop. Watch it any way coz its a mental song. But yeah you must see them. I'm an audio visual artist and to me its the best audio visual show in the world. Period.

But can't you hide any sample in a straight line, so long as it's MONO?

@@jeremylakeman Yes indeed, a straight diagonal line. Adding any other osci music shape to that will distort everything as it happens at the same time. So you could have mono singing, or something else, but not both at once.

I see huge potential for this. Big sounds and cool oscilloscope wave pictures! Imagine using serum to cross between waves for a weird transition of pictures.

Serum works OK with Osci music .wav files, (I've experimented a bit,) but IIRC it only runs at 44.1KHz, so the output is pretty chunky looking. Also, can only have one graphic, because you need one Serum Oscillator for each of the left and right channel. Serum's wave distortion effects do work pretty well, though!

Great stuff Allen. This is one of the best pieces oscilloscope music I’ve found. I managed to get to this gem of a channel from a video made by Smarter Every Day that was about oscilloscopes, and mentioned a particular jerobeam fendonson, witch eventually lead me to here a year or two ago. I was fascinated by how these old pieces of sound equipment can be used to create crazy sounds and music. All in all, I’m glad I got to experience this great genre of music by incredible and talented people. Cheers!

Yes, precisely. The audio stereo signal is split, and draws the images via X-Y plot on an oscilloscope.
