The only time I had any issue with my 10 ft dish was when we had a blizzard and snow covered over half the dish. I cleared the snow out of there and everything was back to normal. That was back in the analog days though.

So much appreciated for the videos. I live in Iran and there are restrictions in installing dish, but when I watch your videos with so many dishes it gets me so satisfied. I have only a 90cm KU on 13E (Hotbird) with DVB card, but there are many channels on that so.

@@aramrahgozar Those eastern satellites have so many more channels than we receive on North American satellites. Thank you very much for watching my videos!

Have you ever tried getting cband on a ku dish? I keep seeing these 'kits' on ali express that come with a new lnb bracket, lnb and scalar ring. I'm curious how useful or useless a setup like that would be.
@NorthcoasterHobby
@NorthcoasterHobby Ай бұрын
@@SilvaD702 Pretty much useless unless you’re using a 4-foot dish at a minimum. C band needs a minimum of 6-10 feet. The bigger the dish the better. Even a 6-foot dish will only receive the strongest transponders.

Biger is better,I just started watching some channels on 55w with 12 footer however a 12 foot dish is recommended to view this one satellite but in most cases a 8 or 10 foot dish is fine.

Probably in the spring. When are you getting a C band dish?

@NorthcoasterHobby I have dish Network. I received about 250 channels off that. My antenna picks up about 50. That's plenty of channels for me so I probably won't be getting a c band dish.

Lyngsat is now showing Weigel Broadcasting channels as encrypted, including "MeTV Toons". Does it show up as free-to-air for you, still?
