Hugging is a very American way to show affection and Jessi is still very much American. Normalizing hugging in Korea would disrupt the skinship hierarchy wouldn't it? LOL. I still can’t wrap around my head how the public did not appreciate Jessi’s talent when she debuted.. I mean she’s one one the golden voices Korea has have before and now..I don’t like many Kpop idols’ voices coz it gives me tinnitus..many have scattered voices even though they’ve got vibrato..maybe because of many are singing straining their vocal chord or sth..many are nasal..Jessi proves that no matter how talented you are, things just happen at the right time..or Korea just pursues idol voices no matter how talented a person is but doesn’t have THE idol voice (which is I think their STANDARD), then the talent is nothing..glad, she’s finally singing her songs in Korea..
