Hey guys, super excited to be back with another WORLD RECORD speedrun! ⏱️
So, I played this mission OVER and OVER and OVER again. I really wanted to deliver something that both captured the spirit of the misson and provided entertainment. (It also had to be a World Record, which was a challenging combination (more on that later).)
So, after a week of attempts, here is the result...
I think the former condition is relitively satisfied. GDI attack you using support powers, and send both air and ground units to your base, finding the nooks in your defenses and hitting them hard. The build I've used is in response to that approach and as you can see it is well practiced by the time of this run. Yet, they still took my by surprise to the South and managed to break through the North bridge into my base. Great!
For the latter condition, I had so much fun with each and every attempt, that I feel that it is satisfied. I actually loved playing this mission, OVER and OVER and OVER again... I felt that it was necessary to destroy GDI before the Mothership arrived, which left the final part of the mission a relatively monotonous event; yet one that left even me in relative suspense (more on that later).

A few notes before we continue.
The first is dissapointment - you can actually capture the Zone Trooper Drop Pods with the Mastermind. It might not be the most tactically adventageous move, but when those Zone Troopers pop out in Scrin colours - my GOD IT IS SATISFYING! (They tend to drop at around the same point in the North).
The second is that where GDI attack you can be completely RNG. You just don't know where they are going to send those forces. You can gaurantee that they will be mixed, hit hard and that they'll be followed up pretty soon somewhere, maybe somewhere else, maybe not. But GDI on Hard is pretty serious about kicking your ass.
The third is that you can kick GDI's ass pretty fast yourself. If you destroy their War Factories early and then their production they're dead in the water before you even think about destroying bridges and capping Drop Pods.

If you teleport a Assimilator near the GDI MCV and try and cap it, GDI will sell it... LOL. (It has to be CLOSE to the MCV.)

Some more notes on the mission:
GDI send their Commando to the South.
They send their Snipers to the North and South and bombard your base with Juggs.
Their support powers, air units and Southern units will attack your Power Plants and Harvesters.
Storm Columns and Gun Walkers are KING early on.
That Mastermind PVE Teleport is AMAZING.
Check out the timing on the Shield Generators.
The Mothership doesn't have the ability to trigger a chain-reaction with its attack ability.

So, GDI hit the deck and we're left with the important part of the run. I have been told by several sources that it's impossible to beat the previous WR as you simply wait for the Mothership and then send it to the Threshold. Well, I'm sorry chaps, but you're wrong. Dead wrong.
For one, notice the sounds when the ability to create Signal Trasmitter. That's me hitting the F9 key and clicking with the mouse at the same time. Then notice the positioning of the Signal Transmitter relative to the support power generated on the left - right next to one another.
Build it, drop it, click it.
Then the path to Threshold 19 next with the most efficient line.
Check out the pathing and see if you can figure out why!
... That shaves a whole 2 seconds off of the run and picks up the title of WORLD RECORD!

imo this is the hardest stage, but i'm not great at scrin, so seeing it still be tense despite you playing extremely well was very fun. congrats on the run!

It was a 14 minutes speedrun. Comparing to other campaings less than 3 minutes, the battle was really tough to win for every soldier on the battlefield surrounded by tiberium.

I have considered it, but it would be a lot of work. I would need to adjust a lot of the missions as the tactics I use can fail a lot.

What would happen if you sold the gravity stabilizer before summoning the mother ship and built a new one next to the tower ?

Yeah, I actually had that idea! I sold it and then popped the Signal Transmitter near the Threshold. It doesn't seem to matter that the Gravity Stabilizer is gone, the Mothership still spawns in the exact same space. I'm going to make another video for that mission, so I'll check with the GS, but I doubt it will work.

What if you sell all buildings in the base far from the Tower? Where the Mothership will be summoned?

I've tried selling the Signal Transmitter and it spawns in the same spot. I would guess that it would do the same if you sold all of the buildings too.

@@s1nnur_ it is spawns over the Gravity Stabilizer, not over Signal Transmitter. Try to sell anything except Transmitter, which will be located near the Tower. Will the Mother Ship be summoned over the nothing?

@@KinderAndry Oh it does? I really don't recall. I actually had this conversation with someone on this video already... it basically spawns over nothing, yes.
