2 weeks ago had a privilage to listen to her live. She SINGS a much longer version at the end of her soul southing session... I fluently speak 3 languages and have no words that are strong or precise or worthy to explain what I felt... What an ARTIST!!! THE BAND that follows her lead, without a shred of doubt and 4 ARTISTS becoming ONE and for an hour and a half reminding you, effortlessly and wholehartedly, that you are a human being, with a soul and compassion and emotions and...Please, never stop Cecile, you are so IMPORTANT!!

She sings like she's just breathing. This is beyond technique. She incorporates all the jazz masters - Sarah Vaughan comes to mind. With her own unique sensibilities. Her voice is a gentle touch that quietly commands we pay attention. I look forward to listening to more of her -- and she is the first vocalist in decades I've felt this about. This. Is. Musical. Artistry.

She seems to be the only modern jazz singer I can find that has the sensibility and connection to the music of the old singers. She's not just hitting the notes . It's a whole lot more happening here

i just don't even know what to do w myself when i witness this kind of work. like how does it feel to be her and have the powers of a god? lol i am barely even exagerrating if someone told me she was some supernatural, divine creative force in disguise as a human i would be like hm sounds credible hahaha i joke but also tbh really am not joking at all mind blowing is right
I have seen them three times in 15 months. And next month again. I cannot get enough. They reach the stars. Nothing better.

First time listener here. Her style and voice is like all my favorite early-later 20th century female vocalists, but just cherry picking the coolest qualities from each one. The raw almost speaking quality of lyric like Nina, the perfectly pitched feminine color and musicality of Ella, the chest support in lower register and storytelling of Aretha, and so much more I am absolutely gobsmacked! I can’t wait to rabbit hole this fabulous woman! I heard maybe 30 seconds, ran to my phone and and hit replay so I could get on with a full listen! Loooove! ❤

If I caught the world in a bottle And everything was still beneath the moon Without your love, would it shine for me? If I was smart as Aristotle And understood the rings around the moon What would it all matter if you loved me? Here in your arms where the world is impossibly still With a million dreams to fulfil And a matter of moments until the dancing ends Here in your arms where everything seems to be clear Not a solitary thing will I fear Except when this moment comes near the dance's end If I caught the world in an hourglass Saddled up the moon so we could ride Until the stars grew dim, until One day, you'll meet a stranger And all the noise is silenced in the room You'll feel that you're close to some mystery In the moonlight where everything shatters You'll feel as if you've known her all your life The world's greatest lesson in history Here in your arms where the world is impossibly still With a million dreams to fulfil And a matter of moments until the dancing ends Here in your arms where everything seems to be clear Not a solitary thing will I fear Except when this moment comes near the dance's end If I caught the world in an hourglass Saddled up the moon so we would ride Until the stars grew dim Until the time that time stands still Until the stars grew dim Until the time that time stands still Until m&m Magistral Madame 👍
