If REI ever sells this, and has a coupon, I might pick one up. They used to sell the original Skywave. Now, it's just the pocket, solar, and CC radio 3. Once a year REI has had a 20% off everything coupon.

Why the heck didn't they use the c type charger? Nothing I have uses either of those options.

Hej i agree with you if it is now an upgraded CCrane Skyway 2 then the charging jack should also be upgraded to Usb C so it's a bit bad I must say but otherwise it seems to be a nice radio take care and have a nice day.

The addition of the external antenna jack is nice. It would have made sense to go type c since every other radio company seems to be doing.

@@todderbert Hej yes a type c jack would have been a very nice on the new C.Crane Skyway 2 so yes absolutely Todderbert it's a bit strange that when CCrane releases a new improved version that they don't have upgraded the charging jack to Usb C. But if a radio is otherwise good, it matters less what type of charging socket a radio has and for me I have all kinds of cables, chargers, etc. But CCrane makes very fine radios in different models take care Todderbert and have a nice day.
