I got c diff from being in the hospital for one day. I broke my arm and went to rehab. I was in rehab for one day. Back I went to the hospital for a few weeks. I was treated with vancomycin and flagyl. I then went back to rehab. I got c diff 2 more times while in rehab. Same treatment, vancomycin and flagyl. I was released from rehab feeling good. Two weeks after I returned from rehab, I got c diff again. I went back to the hospital again. Four times I had c diff. I finally received a fecal transplant not too long ago. The success rate is between 80 to 95 percent. C diff is a very contagious pathogen.
