I remembered this recital. Well first off, Cedric and I built our relationshipof truth of this recital. I couldn't belive ( like some) that he was either French or pianist. He thouht that I had no further expectation than to attend music salons. So he kept me at a distance, and I kept him at bay. After it was all over our friendship was clinched. Hooray.

Tiberghien's Beethoven Variations was one of the first cds of his ever purchased. Tiberghien can play anything and play it supremely well.

You must be really young! And you bought a CD rather than streamed it?

@@WinrichNaujoks No-the days of being young are long gone. I made a small change to the text. Tiberghien's cd of Beethoven's Variations or his Debussy on Harmonia Mundi was the first cd sof the Frenchman's that I purchased perhaps some 15 years ago. I have pretty much bought all of his releases since that time and had the chance to hear him with Ivana Imbragimova in a small town in North Carolina a week or so before they went to Carnegie Hall. The concert was an unbelievable experience, and I am hopeful to hear them again someday soon.

On veut entendre Tiberghien et non les comments de la "Piplette" de l´intervalle. et puis rien de plus foudroyant dans un récital le Molton Feldman et John Cage... On ne retiendra Rien de cette prestation ennuyeuse...

You're boring. I'll not forget the beautiful playing of those repertoire whose works you don't like. Therefore you don't like Cedric's recital.

Mr Tiberghien is a superb musician! The video director, alas.... 1:48:26 - flawless crotch shot. Thanks for sabotaging the recital. No wonder the director, camera, and editor aren't named in the credits. Messrs Gilhooly and Weinberg: perhaps it's worth re-editing this sophomoric blunder. One expects better than this from Wigmore.
