In this video, we briefly introduced you to an Arduino-compatible single-board computer featuring a RISC-V architecture microcontroller called HiFive1. We discussed MCU's view of physical memory and how it's segmented into multiple regions. One of the regions is peripheral, and that contains all the memory addresses of peripheral registers, which we can rewrite for specific purposes. One of the peripheral devices is GPIO, which is used to connect other devices, i.e., LED, Sensor, etc., to power and control them.
