Actually, it's based on a car radio, which had set stations assigned to each button. And pushing in one would make the previously selected one pop-out. If it was a tape recorder, we'd call it a tape recorder button. :) www.insidehook.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/radio.jpg

You mentioned some time through the video that you weren't as comfortable with English and dates when specifying date ranges in markup. I'm an English speaker and the date formatting still messes me up because of funny differences in formatting, say between Canada and the US which flip the month position. I just specify my dates like this: 1-Mar-2021. If you specify the month in this way, you can pretty much express the day and the year in any way you want without confusing it. =) Thought that might be helpful.

I buck both conventions and often use yyyy-mm-dd. You get the benefit of chronological sorting when needed, and it's hard to imagine anyone would confuse it for yyyy-dd-mm, which makes no sense.

Another way is to use YYYY-MM-DD, as far as I know nobody is using YYYY-DD-MM 😅 yet so no ambiguity

This course has a great bonus on resource pack URIs and you give a nice example of using it - please call that out in the notes as i am having a hard time finding it. I am dealing with a problem where a direct URI to the file works in the designer but not at runtime and I can't seem to get URIs right - especially the component part. i bought your WPF course but can't find it there either.

I actually had the same question because why learn a dated process right? Turns out it is hard to find a solid answer as to what is in demand. WPF is probably the best for windows apps however another C# framework is in the works called MAUI. C++ with Qt is popular too. I think I will go with learning WPF->Translate that to MAUI when it comes out then boom you will be on the cutting edge of windows GUI.

I am trying to display the result of 2 textbox entries after a button press as a datatable with the first column having numbers from 1 to 25 and the second column a linear combination of the 2 numbers entered in the textboxes times the number in the 1st column of the same row. I have been looking for solutions for several weeks and can't find anything useful for me. Do you happen to know how to solve this? I tried doing a datagrid but it seems like the generated rows are glitched and they don't show the values I want to display. Btw, are you German? Question: During the Window item section in your video, you can see the "sub" menu items under file before loading the application while you're working on it. How did you do that?
