【華語情歌天后】蔡琴
1984年11月，飛碟唱片迎來了第三張專輯 - 演譯情歌總令人深陷其歌聲的蔡琴《此情可待》，顧名思義這張專輯就是在講"情"這件事，描述著女人面臨情感的各種糾結與心事，集結當時才華洋溢的音樂人吳楚楚、梁弘志、曹俊鴻，其中也收錄了作詞名家-慎芝為電影《金大班的最後一夜》所寫的電影主題曲「最後一夜」以及李宗盛為電影《油麻菜籽》所作的同名主題曲，這張專輯不僅為蔡琴再創事業高峰，也為唱片公司立下了汗馬功勞。
1989年10月發表的《談心》專輯，為蔡琴贏得了第2屆金曲奬最佳女演唱人獎 ，其後轉戰點將唱片，《新感情舊回憶》、《午夜場》、《心太急》以及重新翻唱自己民歌時期的名作集《民歌蔡琴》，20多年間蔡琴累積了近200首作品，其中囊括數十首經典傳唱，也讓這位演譯情歌有著無人可以取代的"金嗓子"至今仍風靡中港台新馬以至全球的華人世界。
