This was a fun video to watch. I want to add that in 1968, the 327 went from the small journal crankshaft to the large journal unit. Plus, some half tons were optioned with the HD rear leaf suspension. My 1968 has both of those options, as well as the front sway bar and the Carter Quadrajet 4MV four-bbl carburetor. It's from the Fremont California plant.

1980 one you shown was the silverado front end with the square headlights and grille. I got a 1980 c10 with the round headlights and blacked out grille.

Great video! Cool to see this style of video added to your lineup in addition to your event coverage and project builds. Can't wait to see what's next.

Good info and topic. Crazy how long square body trucks were produced compared to the 67-72 models. I have a 68 which imo is the absolute best looking year. But I’m biased. Appreciate you taking the time to put this video together.

in the early 80s i had a 71 c10 6 cylinder 3 speed. same creamy green color as your clickbait. swapped the 6 out for a junk yard 327 4 bbl. left everything else alone. with the stock 3 speed and gears it would top out at 90 but off the line would lift the front tires. snappiest vehicle i ever had. if i wound it up it would sit and spin both rear tires and wouldnt even move. (or hop so bad it shook your fillings out)

The square body truck has been modified in every possible way and in my opinion there is no other car or truck that can accomplish this feet and look so good in every modified way.

The reason they went away from torsion bars is Chrysler sued them for copying their design and that why gm never had them until the patent expired and brought back the torsions in 1988 and still run them today

I always found it amusing that GM liked to attach the word "turbo" to everything that didn't have a turbo on it.

I love your content man, however you mentioned them for a brief moment, but forgot to include them in the video, the gmt400 platform was still part of the C/K series of trucks. Not trying to dog on your content or anything, like I said I love your content and love all your trucks, just confused as to why you didn’t include them 😂 Keep up with the great videos man!
