Thank you for painting the car! Almost every channel that does car restoration leaves it with the patina look which I can’t stand. So thank you for doing the job all the way!

unless patina is preserved to the point it doesn't rust anymore, then it is slowly destroying the car

I was honestly starting to believe I was the only person who hates the stupid patina look. It looks like garbage and it’s lazy.

At 9:29, talk about the ultimate gearhead ASMR: Seeing and hearing that 327 fire up, belch a flame or two, and shaking that engine stand like it owes it money! Rick is the dad some of (or many of us) wish we had. He's laid back, totally cool, humble, but he still commands presence without doing it. This channel has the best music--country electric guitar with the banjo playing along. It conveyes wrenching on a vintage car in the middle of the desert in a way that just stimulates my brain cells.

60's Chevrolet's. Labor's of love. You've made her into a Shiny Star! Thanks for saving an amazing piece of history. Classic Chevy; makes me remember my first car; a 10 year old 69 Camaro. $1000 bucks at a used car lot. It took me 2 years to make her shine. The first couple months were all about making her Haul Ass.

Greetings from Germany... Zero to Hero... all things considered... " Excellent " job well done... 😉 Travis you and your dad done great. Really worth the 2 plus hour watch time. I can remember when my dad took mom and I to visit one of his mechanic friends to check out his brand new '59' El Camino. Dad worked as a Tune-up man for our local Chevrolet/Buick dealership back in 1956-59. Even have a shop photo of all the guys. In the back ground of the old shop you can clearly see the poster hanging above the shop door titled 'The New 1956 Chevrolet'. Truly Nostalgia... brings back some fond child hood memories for me. A few years later dad worked for the Olds Cadillac dealership. I still recall as a young teenager admiring the 1966 Olds Tornado and the new Cutlass 442. Looking forward to your next revival and or restoration.

Both you and your Dad have done a really nice back yard restoration. My favorite kind. My Dad bought a 59 Camino in the mid sixties, all black. More recently, at our annual car show in Warrensburg Missouri a 60 Camino normally shows up every year. Its claim to fame is factory AC. Not hang on cool pack but actual factory AC which is pretty rare. I like your Dad saying. I kept all of these parts so I'd remember not to ever do it again. Lol
