It's part of a celebrity's self promotion to mix in with the "real people" and appear more accessible and humble. Although you see it as her lowering herself to performing in a karaoke bar, I'm sure most people are getting a positive impression of this and would've killed to be there that night. She definitely did it for the social media presence and it's part of the album promotion. It's just too bad she didn't sing half the song though, but looks like she tried at first and it was probably not coming out right.
