@@rhdrhd3255 I get what you’re saying I live in Quebec and often enough I have difficulty understanding the native speakers, it shows you how the language has evolved from France to Quebec and Haiti (as French is also my native language). BUT I absolutely LOVE Celine Dion’s french Discography; her album “D’eux” is a MASTERPIECE. You gotta listen to “Vole”. I don’t have a hard time understanding her when she sings in French. She was an institution back in Haiti before I left. As are Francis Cabrel, Charles Aznavour, Michel Sardou, Claude Barzotti, Mylène Farmer, Enrico Masias and Patrick Bruel. (Sorry I don’t know of any new French artists aside from Maître Gim, simply not my style nowadays) 😉

For me, this is Celine Dion's best song for melody and vocal subtlety! Ok this is her native language and she is more natural to her so that helps. I advise you the dominant artist in France for over 37 years who is Mylène Farmer and that neither Celine Dion or Lara Fabian have ever managed to dislodge there. You who compare to MJ, with her you can because her fans are as absolute as MJ's were and her starters and her endings are possibly the most spectacular. I'm also french-canadian and it bugs me all the time. Its not Dionne its Dion. And you guys are saying the french-canadian aka the Quebecer way! 👍Bravo. And yes of course it's French, Italian is sounding a bit like french but its different. The endings are not the same. In french we use more of "e" in our words. In Italian more "i" and in spanish its more the "o" that is used. Its a little trick I use when I want to know in which languages it is said.
