A few years back, my father in law and I were hiking and we accidentally went on a trail that hadn't been maintained for years. We ended up having to cut through very think brush near the top of a mountain for a mile or so in order to navigate our way back to the real trail. At one point, we stumbled into a bears den with dead baby bear pelts (male bears eat young bears). I asked him how long it had been since a human stood where we were. Probably over 100 years, he answered. This album makes me think of those places, the forgotten spots in nature. I like to imagine someone hundreds or thousands of years ago cutting through the same spot where we stand. Who were they? What were they doing? As the album says, Nature Stays Silent and keeps her secrets.

I'm late to the party on this one, but I'll say my piece...I didn't know of these guys until you posted the premiere of devoured by the oak, and loved it and bought the cd version (only physical media player I still own in my vehicle). I jammed the cd+digital copy in my car & at work for months then kinda forgot about it. I just recently decided to revisit it to listen to it in a new perspective and realised just how good it was. I never even tried the older albums. I finally decided to and man was I missing out. They're just as good if not better. I wasn't able to get the physicals as they've been long sold out on bandcamp now, but I went ahead and bought the last rain & nature stays silent and...I really don't say this lightly because I love so many bands I've found and grown into over the years as my taste in music constantly evolves and matures, but I think they might be my favorite right now. Malo is an amazing musician and Dylan is a highly underrated metal drummer (used to be a decent drummer myself so I always appreciate the drummers & percussionists). Sorry that was so damn long, but I'll end with saying thanks once again BMP. You always pull through for me on keeping in touch with great upcoming releases. You're the go-to for finding new bands I wouldn't otherwise probably

I have heard a ton of albums already this year, but this one has stayed with me. I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I do, but am glad I found it, and gave it a chance. Beautiful, and heavy. It's funny, but the opening few minutes reminds me of Mono's For My Parents at points, but that might just be me. There is a good mix of influences, in my opinion.
