Meeting 可分數類: 用於會議/坐談會 (Formal Meeting): Go to a meeting 去開會。Open a meeting 開始會議 (說開場白)。Start a meeting (同上)。Call a meeting 召開會議。Hold a meeting 舉行會議。Join a meeting 加入會議 (e.g. I'm busy right now. Will join the meeting shortly.)。Assemble for a meeting 聚集開會。Enter a meeting 進入會議。Be present in a meeting 參加會議。

Sit for an exam (應考 formal usage), Sit an exam (應考 British English), Take an exam (接受考試 but usage may be confused with taking a medical test 接受檢驗), Do an exam (= take a medical test 接受檢驗). Attend an exam 出席考試(含意廣泛,應考,監考,觀考都可用), Sit in on an exam (監考), Proctor an exam (監考 American English), Invigilate an exam (監考 British/Australian English)

主人說 give a party, throw a party, have a party, hold a party。客人說 go to a party (一般說法), attend a party (通常用於較大規模莊嚴的派對例如婚宴，少用於一般社交聚會)。

Participate in the game will be more appropriate if you are in person. If you are talking about online games. Join a game will make more sense.

"Join the game" is typically a term for online video games. But it is correct to say "Mary, join us for a game of mahjong.", or "May I join in? (e.g. for a game of blackjack)"

Attend a party 通常用於較大規模莊嚴的派對例如婚宴，少用於一般社交聚會. Attend an exam 出席考試(學生或監考員都可用)，最正確說法是 Sit for an exam (應考).

想問開飯點講??

開飯都有唔同意思，如果係表示「食飯」，比如「我哋出去開飯啦」，就用have a dinner/lunch/meal；如果表示「開始食飯」呢個動作，就用start eating / start the dinner。一般來講睇「開」係咩意思吧，如果係表示「舉辦/舉行」咁就用have/hold，如果表示「開始」一般用start就OK

開飯最直接說法是Have dinner or have a meal。開飯喇！Dinner's ready！(熟人說法), Dinner is served (莊重說法,譬如東道向賓客，僕人向主人說)。開飯了 It's time to eat, It's time for dinner。開緊飯 Having dinner now。冇錢開飯 No money for food。搵錢開飯 Work to live/survive。
