Manuel got one of those newer type migs that has the option of a plus setting capability the power level speed will automatically adjusts with the wire feed speed that helps make adjustments where it's needed, basically giving you the perfect setting. The older type welders didn't have that function avail but if you know how to adjust the wire feed speed it's really not a issue. but if you have it, it helps you acquire a more uniformed weld. So basically the machine is helping you get a looking weld which makes your welds even look better. Btw those rims and tires look fantastic. This truck is going to look incredible when its finished.

One of my friends has a buggy with a 9inch in the back and it has a short panhard right to the top of the pumpkin. Lots more clearance on the buggy though lol. Never seen one mount with a shock like that, looks good!
@paullutherborrow637
@paullutherborrow637 Жыл бұрын
This is awesome how you guys are just working all this out as you go ! Maybe an adjustable wishbone on the top of the pumpkin to two mounting points up high on the chassis would work better than a panhard bar and look cleaner than seeing the panhard from the rear
@mikemchaney1003
@mikemchaney1003 Жыл бұрын
Love the wheel choice. Please tell me there is going to be more to the panhard bar and coil over mounts. Single shear mounting on all those main components? I understand utilizing the shock mount as part of the panhard bar mounting, but there should be a second shear point to encapsulate that and the top coil over bolts. Single shear on a shock may be fine, but the coil overs and panhard bar??

Getting parts in one day is something that guys in SoCal take for granted. Except when every once in a 100 years the Grapevine gets shutdown because of snow. Atascadero doesn't have that problem because it's on the (101) and not (eye-5). Rich, Aaron and Andy have good timing. Must be something to do with living in the *_Rust Belt._*

I'm not an engineer, so take everything I'm saying with some salt, but for those braces, I wouldn't have made them with hard angles in them. My understanding is that sharp angles concentrate stress, so if they were made with gradual curves, then while it would have been more annoying to make the plating for the top/bottom fit, it would probably have lasted better.

Any "Quick" project is never done right, and 1/2 the build will have to be done again. Wiring always gets cobbled, and the long days lead to crappy workmanship. If you want to watch that, just watch the "reality" shows on MT

Seems no matter where you go that there are deer around, they just seem like pets... so curious they are.. and tasty if too many show up. One thing for sure, capture one and you will find out, extremely good fighters and will kick the stuffing right out of you. It sounds like a love hate affair with "Ford" parts as in the nine inch rear end. I know one thing for sure, it takes far more than a flathead to pull one apart from power without serious additions to the power supply.
