I used to work at a company in Australia that did landcruiser dual cab conversions and we did one for a south African customer and that was an absolute shit show. Their rules and taxes are so weird

I would really like to see a front axle option for a 2wd truck that keeps the original drivetrain. It could still use regen and plugging into the house power. If I made to fit into a two-wheel drive truck so that you can have a 4x4 without front drivetrain you could also drive the truck just off front wheel or rear axle/ factory motor. I assume the electric could be synced to the output of a rear axle using existing abs. It also makes a lot of trucks desirable for people who need 4x4 and that means less trucks go into junk yards

Sure hope it lasts longer than the clocks sold on Amazon. If it's the same as those, you will spend more time doing something creative with it than it will last!

You have quickly become my favorite KZbin rebuild channel. I love your style, I love your laid-back approach, and your can-do attitude. It is also a plus that when you grab the bull by the horns you finish the project. I'm pretty handy, fairly mechanically inclined, play you take it to a new stratosphere. I'm like...."whaaat".... How in the world did he do that? Thank you for making such amazing, and entertaining Content. Blessings to you, and to all your future endeavors. I will be tuned in for what's next. Darryl Florida

I have an 2005 dodge truck that I bought, and number 6 rod was thrown out through the block and broke the cam shaft. The guy said it was a problem with too much fuel in the common rail system, is that true? I have seen even 8.3 l Cummings throw number 6 rod out the block and break the camshaft. What's the real issue?

I have to admit that I always have concerns over E-axle concept as the motor is attached to axle and become unsprung weight, which affect vehicle handling and dynamic performence, and the video proofs the concern, 370 lbs over 190 lbs stock is a huge increase, almost double. But I do also believe that later prototype can get it much less as the current one has a lot of material that can be take off. Well done guys, well done, very impressive.

Sigh.....now it makes me want to work on my 'almost mint' '86 Merkur sitting in the garage (only 38K kilometers on it from new). Note to self - this coming summer of '25, MUST get her out and running again! I like the fact he took a failing car and used it to make this one of a kind. Good job on all the work, she looks great!

Really interested to find out how the cost analysis works out, kudos for showing people how you figure out if an idea is actually a viable business. Complete rolling chassis seems like a better idea, new steel, more flexibility, more markets

Well, you are definitely not a Land Rover Virgin anymore! I liked the discussion about how the different engine/transmissions changed the character of the Landy 110. From that perspective, I would like to introduce the Santana PS 10. Made by Metalurgica de Santa Ans in Spain under licence, Santana had a habit of "improving" the Landy's idiosyncrasies. This wrankled with the bosses back in Britain and Land Rover eventually stopped the Licence Agreement, but not before Santana produced the PS 10. Powered by an Iveco Fiat 2.5l straight six and through an Iveco gearbox it was a more capable power unit and transmission than those offered by Land Rover at the time. Along with things like anatomical shaped seats and a host of other improvements that Land Rover UK didn't originally have, the Santana produced Landy's are well worth a look at. Some were exported to Mexico and South America. If you get a chance to drive a half decent Santana PS 10, grab it.

41:25 Do both, retrofit first, skateboard frame second with mounting options for current cabs or for a little more offer a little topsy body. Hope to see the company around to do all that in under 5 years. Maybe you’ll need a material engineer by then, I’m keeping an eye on your website.

Will there be a rwd only option? I imagine it be cheaper and easier to install. But I know most will want AWD. But trucks can be a truck in rwd. Might offer extra room for something. But every truck is gonna be different, these new ones with there tech and warranties will be a mess.
