I disagree to compare gary with other people just by looking at this single video. Obviously gary didn't try his best in this show. He sang quite leisurely in this show.

很多人不理解,不是曹格沒辦法發揮.而是這首歌大概是張學友所有歌裡演唱最難作出表現的頭5首...特別的不是歌曲難度問題,是這歌奇怪的事就算使用多種技巧也非常難唱出感覺,如果有人沒辦法理解的話找個高手去KTV點來唱看看就知道了.這首歌算是少數讓我感到非常難表達感情跟氣勢的超棘手歌曲.我只能說曹格雖然實力夠強,但選這歌他算很帶種.

I think the live orchestra is giving Cao Ge a hard time in singing this song. It is leading him. Since this is not his song, unlike Jacky Cheung, Cao Ge probably did not have much say in how the music should be played/arranged by the orchestra. Cao Ge is young here, but experienced. The orchestra is too green. It is not playing as accompaniment for the voice in this song. Even if Jacky were singing here, the song would still be 'off mark'. One day in the future Cao Ge will sing, match the music/song/lyrics. Even if the orchestra is not matched. This song is quite suitable for Cao Ge. I hope he will sing it again. In 2024 I am listening to this by filtering out the band. Only then does it sound right.

開頭就起雞皮疙瘩了，不過我想當時他唱這首歌還有點嫩，過了這幾年的歷練gary現在應該可以把這首歌詮釋得更好
