The letters are now in the Drawings + Documents Archive. To add to the story.... when workers removed the letters and gave them to the archives, they gave us all but one. And it isn't the one you'd think they would forget. When we were cleaning them, we realized we were missing a G and they had to go back under the new construction and retrieve it.

It was. They were just going to cover up the letters with the new construction until we told them that they were kind of important to us. Now the letters reside in the Drawings and Documents Archive.

Thanks for the post to where we were linked! I do wish I would have taken a decent picture or video of that gaffe so that I could put it to rest after all these years. After all it was literally outside my office. However I just ignored it for the time it was there. And now it's been taken down so the cries of the image being Photoshopped will last forever it seems.
