I was in Cordoba in October 2019. I visited many white villages and visited many of the main attractions known in the particular area we were in. Cordoba was one of the cities we spent a whole day in. Very beautiful and clean. I too intended on returning in 2020, but covid shut down my plans for two years. I am planning on 2023, and if not, definitely 2024.

Yes, do visit. Andalusia, southern Spain is gorgeous. We stayed in Malaga but visited at lease 7 villages in the area. We fanned out on a map and went to the main attractions in that particular area. A lot of driving and walking for sure but well worth it for the experience. I will return in near future. Do come and explore.

Es un placer pasear idealmente por una ciudad desconocida. Me ha gustado la Cordoba antigua por su homogeneidad de colores y construcciones. Y también, por su impecable limpieza.Puede señalarse como punto negativo ser el descascarillado de algunas paredes

Yes, Spain is very clean in most parts. I am happy to see how well they maintain their historical monuments and architecture, even the culture of other ethnicity that once was there.

@@raadr.b.h7440 In Andalusia there is no Arab culture. Or do you see woman with burqa men with djellaba? In Andalusia people drink wine and eat ham, wich the arabs are forbbiden. In Andalusia there are the greast examples of Christian faith: The Holy Week processions. Leave that obsession of pretending that Spain is linked to you!

I can definitely tell whose a local, or not. I have family in Spain and Portugal because I am ethically Spanish and Portuguese. I read and watched many videos on how to blend in with the locals...what not to wear and so on. My only area that was obvious was when I spoke, but I am practicing my Spanish a lot more. Maybe I should have written this in Spanish...

Cordoba is thousands of years old, I doubt that Puerto Vallarta or Cartagena existed. Also in America you have the custom of saying when you see a Spanish city that it looks like one there. It may be because we founded them, don't you think?

Es justo al revés. Esas ciudades son las que se parecen a Córdoba en España, que fue fundada por los fenicios hace miles de años.

Cordoba was the capital of the second Umayyad state. The matter of Cordoba did not rise except with the advent of the Umayyad prince Abd al-Rahman al-Dakhil to Andalusia, fleeing from the Abbasids, so he seized the reins of affairs in Islamic Andalusia and made Cordoba his capital in the year 756 AD. This was the beginning of the golden age of Cordoba, when it became the capital of the entire Islamic Andalusia and the most important city in the peninsula, and during the reign of Abd al-Rahman al-Dakhil, work began on the Great Mosque of Cordoba, which still stands in the city today. And the rule continued in the hands of the Umayyads from the dynasty of Abd al-Rahman al-Dakhil during this period.

Saludos 🇪🇦

Those stones are extremely slippery. People with leather soles might slip. A good walking shoe with rubber soles is best. The area just before you enter the Roman Bridge is slippery.
